November 18

Hello to all again. Thanks to all send emails out to update us on your lives. We really enjoy that. So now an update on our lives. Kelly has been hauling grain to the elevator. Heidi and I will sometimes ride along. The truck has a sleeper so Heidi plays on the floor. Our meetings start the 20th so we will be busy with them. We about 6 inches of snow in the ground. I am not ready for winter yet but what choice do I have. Heidi now has 6 teeth and standing alot on her own. She has a kitty named Bart that comes in the house some so she loves to follow him all over and pull his tail. He hasn't scratched her to much yet. Today I found Heidi sitting in front of the washing machine and watching the clothes then she would stand up and push the buttons and sit back down again. Was very cute. She has decided that doesn't need sleep any more. Getting up 3+ times a night and hardly any naps in the day. Hopefully tonight is better. Folks and Marshal have gone to Haiti to see Heather and Ontario to see Vicky so they are gone for close to 2 weeks. Well I guess that is about it. We brought cows home from pastures last week end so they very glad to be home. When the snow starts coming they go stand by the gate waiting for us to come get them. All we really have to do is start honking the horn and they come a running and follow us home. In a months time we will be in Michigan. Can't wait to see all my family again. Bye till next time.

October 26

Hello to all! We finally got done with harvest!! So now we have field work to do. The have been harrowing and clear so land Lorne bought. There is a little creek running through it and it's full of beavers so they need to clear a lot of the willows out so they can clean out the beavers.  Our red pickup has bit the dust so now we have to get something else. I don't like making decisions like that. So now what kind of vehicle do we get a family vehicle or another pickup that we hope will work for a few years. So what to do now. Heidi is crawling and getting into everything!!!! She now knows there is toys in her room so its fun to go down there and play. She loves to go into any room and close the door and then cry because she can't get out. She pulls herself up on to everything so therefore she has bumps all over head, arms and legs. She is really trying to stand by herself and has done it lots. She has 5 teeth now and almost 6. She LOVES her dad and if he is home she doesn't anything really to do with me. Also she LOVES she Uncle Marshal. Not sure if it's because he looks like Kelly or not but what ever it is she like him. Today and tomorrow Kelly has fire training in Grande Prairie so Heidi and I are suck at home with no vehicle. We have been so busy lately that I don't really mind to much. We are suppose to get snow tomorrow and Sunday so we will see what happens. We got the of the calves in for the feed lot so that's nice. Also sold our calves that we had on pasture. Got to run. Bye til next time.......

October 5

Hello to all. Once again the farming life has been busy. Spent most of the month of September in the field either harvesting or plowing. So that involved for sure two meals sometimes three to the field. Elaine, Mom and I took turns again and each of us was in charge of the main course. Then the rest filled in with salad and dessert. Next year I would like to try something different. We take turns being in charge of the whole meal so that way we can have some nights off. Heidi is growing like a weed she has just learned to crawl. But before that she would roll for a bit then sit up and roll some more to get where she was going then pull herself up and be very pleased about what she had done. We got two kitty's and one got to come in the house some so that was always very neat if she could play with her kitty but now that kitty has disappeared. She also and stood up in the middle of the room twice that I have seen. She weights 18 lbs 13 oz and is around 29 inches long. She fits into 12 month onies but needs 18 month leggings.  She is very happy to see her dad come home. If he doesn't come get her right away (like if he goes to wash his hands) she sits on the floor and cries till he comes and gets her. She also loves her dog Abby. If you ask " Where's Abby?" she looks outside and tries to find her.  She has a favorite blanket now and just about can't part with it at nap time. If I do manage to sneak away to be washed she is very very very happy to have it back!!!! We had our first snow of the season so to speak on the 2nd of October. It only stayed a few hours but it was a reminder if what it to come. We still have about 300 acres of canola to harvest yet. I like they are hoping to get to it next week.  We have had some rain so it is still kinda wet. The 14th is Thanksgiving and we always have a supper at church for neighbors. I have to make 4 loaves of bread and 1 9x13 of sweet potatoes. This year we got to sign up to what we wanted so that is much nicer. Well I hear Heidi waking up form nap. Till next time.......

August 27

So I did remember to post sooner. :) Seems like life is never gonna slow down. Been busy once again. So about our lives. A couple of weekends ago we went to Fort Vermilion to a wedding. It was Kelly's cousins daughter Monique to Jordan from NB. I knew him from when I lived it Maine. Was nice to see some of the youth from there again. Sure was pretty country up there but I'm very glad I don't live there!! We seen a brown bear on the way home. He was just sitting beside the road looking around. Guess I can't remember what all happened since I last wrote. Heidi had a Dr's appointment the first of the week and she weighs 17 lbs 10 oz and is 28 inches long. She hasn't gained any weight since she had shots the first of the month but she grew an inch. She is getting big!! She is really rolling all over and is trying to pull herself up on things. She can get to her hands and knees to start crawling but doesn't know what to do next. Her top teeth have almost broke through. Fall field work has started. They have been swathing canola and getting manure hauled so we can put in feeders once again. Today I mowed the lawn. It is getting easier with Heidi because I have a Moby wrap that I can carry her in. She loves to ride on the mower and if I put her down on the blanket she sits and watches me the whole time. Last night was mowing at church and she rode with me then. Watching all of the other mowers. Tonight Kelly is swathing so won't be home till late. Good night and bye till next time.

August 10

Hello to everyone! For some reason I thought I had written in July but I guess I didn't. I can't remember for sure what all happened last month. One thing was that Kelly and I took a truck to have a grain box put on to Edmonton. He drove the truck and Heidi and I followed in the pickup. Took us a little to get down there as Kelly got pulled over at the scales and we had to spend the night in Whitecourt waiting for our truck to get fixed. We spent a couple of days in Edmonton shopping to doing fun stuff like that. Heidi did really well slept most of the way home. She now has two bottom teeth and seems to be working on her top ones. She goes all over in her walker. The other day I found her in her bedroom. O that's another thing I did. I painted the guest room and moved Heidi in there and the guest room with be Heidi's old room. I painted one wall white and the rest orange. It turned out really nice. She is starting to roll all over the floor when I am not watching her. Darrell and Vicky where just out for almost a week so we where busy with family deals. Kelly finally got my lawn mower fixed so now I can mow lawn!!! Kelly is doing something at the firehall today and will be there until later this evening so Heidi and I will go have supper with him. Ok I will try and post sooner next time. See you all then.

June 22

O my so much time has pasted!! We have been leading very busy lives like always. The month of May was spent in the fields. With our new air seeder we got all the seeding done in record time. Only took a week and a half. On May 9 we went to Edmonton and I became a permanent resident of Canada.  So nice to have it all done. Now it's June and almost July. School program and play day was on the first weekend.  It seems like it has rain just about every day. There hasn't been very many where it didn't. Heidi has been growing like a weed!! She doesn't really want to roll over but she can sit by herself for quit a while. She is still working on her teeth but haven't seen them yet. One big thing that happened this month is that Kelly's sister Heather came home from Haiti where she has been for over a year. Has been really nice to be with her again. She leaves again on July 2nd. Another that happened is my Grandpa Schneider's flew out to visit for a week. So we are have lots of fun being with them. Today we to Heidi to the ER in the morning because she had a very croupy cough. Come of find out she has an ear infection. Not good. For her cough the Dr. sent home an inhaler which is proving to a challenge to use on a 6 month old baby. O well it will all work out. Ok time to go on to other things before the day is over with.  Bye till next time.

Hello to all. It's been awhile since I wrote last but we have been busy. My sister got married last weekend so we flew to Michigan for the wedding. Heidi did real good going down. We did have a bit of flight trouble going down but it all worked out in the end. We got into Detroit only an hour late and our luggage didn't come. O well a person kinda expects some of this to happen. We did get our luggage brought to my folks Friday night. Got a text Saturday that Errol and Emily had a baby boy Ethan Jade. So happy for them. Sunday was the wedding. It was nice and small. We left for the airport Sunday night yet because we had to leave early Monday morning. Had good flights on the way home. Heidi was quite fussy tho. Just took it easy the rest of the week. Heidi was sure glad to be home. Lorne and Elaine had there baby early Friday morning.   A boy Lenny John. Saturday we had to go buy a new fridge because ours kick the bucket. Kelly was wasn't feeling good all day Saturday so we didn't do to church Sunday. We went to Albert's in the evening. Today I hope I get my house cleaned and food made for Elaine and Emily. Hope you all have a good week!!!!!

Friday we had another lawyer appointment as I couldn't be on the papers to sign cause I don't have permanent residence yet so Kelly needed to resign everything. Heidi had a Dr. appointment because we needed more reflex medicine. It really seems to be helping. I also had her weighed because I was just wondering where she was at. She weighs 15 lbs 10 oz!!!  We went to folks for supper in the evening. Saturday I cleaned house all day. Sunday was church in the morning. We where just home for dinner. Good morning to all! Guess I will start with last week. We where just home last Sunday. Had song service in the evening. Monday morning I went with Mom in law, Mary Jo, and Elaine to a fabric sale in Heart Valley. In the afternoon Kelly and I went to a bull sale for a bit then on the town for grocery's. Tuesday I was just home all day. In the evening Kelly had fire meeting so I went to Lorne's. I don't enjoy being home all evening by myself. Wednesday I was just home all day. Cut out dresses for Monica's wedding. Marshal and Carissa came for supper because folks went on a trip. Thursday found us back in town to sign papers for a quarter of land we bought. They canceled bible study in the evening. Friday was a Good Friday service in the morning. Then to Tony's for dinner and rest of the day. Had a good day!!! Saturday I went had helped Kelly with some chores so we could go to a bull sale in Dawson Creek. Mary Jo watched Heidi. Then I spent the evening at Tony's while Kelly, Tony ,and Lorne sorted some cattle that had gotten mixed up. I was just leaving Tony's when I saw some deer in the bale yard so I chased them in the field and Kelly went after them in old red and got stuck in the field. Sunday we missed Sunday School as there was problems at the farm with chores. Made it to church tho. We went to Galen's for dinner and afternoon. Just home in the evening. Went and pulled old red out of the field. Monday we where back in town as we had an appt. at the bank. Kelly wasn`t home till late as he had to fix the bale grinder because the belts had burnt off and he needed to grind hay. Today I am going to Mary Jo`s after dinner to sew while she watches Heidi. Hope you all have a good week!!! Love Kelly`s

Saturday March 23

So i'm gonna try a blog and see how it works. Hopefully it will keep some of my family updated as i don't call very often. Yesterday Heidi was 3 months old!!! She is getting so big! She doesn't roll over yet but there is times when she wishes she could. She gets so upset that she can't.  She is sleeping in her own room in a crib now. She can go 7-8 hours at night before waking up. I can't complain about that. Now a little about our week.  I was mostly home all week. Kelly spends most of his time at folks working or helping Tony with the cows. Had to go to Beaverlodge Hospital for blood work to make sure my liver was back to normal after my gallbladder surgery. Also Heidi had a drs app. because she wasn't eating right so the dr put her on meds for reflux. She doesn't like the pills but they do seem to be helping.  I spent most of the week sewing for a girl that is going to kindergarten  Her mom gave me 4 dresses to sew and i have them all done but one. Before I finish it i'm gonna do my sewing for Monica's wedding.  Abby our dog is growing fast to. I'm afraid she gonna be a lot like Hawk instead of Daisy! Well Carissa and Marshal are coming for supper because folks had to go down to Edmonton to pick up a mix mill. Have a good week!
