June 1

So I know this is well over due. The business of life I guess. So here it goes a short story of our lives from April till now. April 1- 3 I did the home show in Grande Prairie. I did really good. Sold enough product to play for my booth. I am also selling dish clothes and such and they did really good also. The 6th I did a party in GP and had over $500 in sales. The 7th I went to Kelly's aunt's place and set up a table as she had a big fabric sale. It was also Kelly's birthday. The 8th was a cleaning day. The 9th Kelly had a course in GP. The 10th was our 5th anniversary so we went to Beaverlodge for dinner. In the evening it was our turn to go singing with the youth. On our way home Lindsey called and said that I have a niece!!! Kylee Nicole was born on our anniversary!!! I can't wait to meet her!!! On the 11th Heidi had speech assessment in GP. The 12th a very tragic event took place in our community and church. An expelled brother took his life. Search party's had spent a few days looking for him. That is something that is very mentally draining on a person. The rest of the week not much happened. The funeral was on Monday. Over 400 people where there. Someone asked after lunch what if he knew that many people where behind him would he have done it?   The 21st we went to folks for supper. On the 22nd Heather made us Haitian for supper. Than is very good!! We went to school in the evening to help Galen's set up for Jared and Megan's wedding. Saturday night we where invited to the Family supper at school. Sunday was the wedding. I had to take potato salad. Lorne's and Errol's came over after church in the evening. The end of the week I started planting my garden. On the 30th Amy and I went to town. There was an antique sale that i wanted to go to.

May 1st we had Galen's over after church in the evening. The 2nd I finished planting my garden. Nigel was not feeling well.  The 3rd I took him into the walk in clinic because I knew something was wrong and he had an ear infection and possibly the start of hand foot and mouth. After we where done at the dr the kids and I went and got flowers. Kelly left that day for Peace River to some fire things and was gone for a few days. Some how I manged to get through the next few days. Nigel was very sick. He would sleep unless he was on me and he would eat or drink much and mostly just cried. At night he was up every hour or so. He must have had blisters in his mouth. Kelly got home on the 5th. I did mange to work a bit outside. I put Nigel in the stroller and took him everywhere with me. He would let me out of his sight. On Mother's Day we had Galen's and Jared's for dinner. I stayed home from church with Heidi as she had hand foot and mouth and was running a long fever. In the evening we took snacks to Tony's. The 9th Nigel woke up with a nasty looking rash. I was talking to Heather and she asked if he was allergic to penicillin and I wasn't sure because he been on it for a while and nothing had happened. So I called the Health Link and the nurse said to get him to a hospital with in 2 hours. So off we went. The Dr took one look and said yes mostly likely that's what it was. He checked his ear and the infection was clear so he said to stop the penicillin. Sure enough the next day we could tell his face had been swollen. So now more Dr's appointments to figure this all out. Also this was Heidi's first day of swimming lessons. She has just over 4 weeks of lesson twice a week for 30 minutes. She loves it and every day asks when she can go again. Also in the evening got a call that Kelly's Grandma had died. She was 98. She just fell asleep and never woke up. The 11th Heidi had swim again. The 12th we left for Edmonton. The 13th we went to Edburg in the afternoon and they had a small family sale of grandpa and grandmas things. The 14th we headed to Linden. The funeral was on Sunday. Most of the 1st cousins where there. Got home on the 16th. The 17th I cleaned house, mowed my lawn , and made food for supper as we had the family all over because Jason and Carissa left the next day. The 18th Heidi had swim again. The 19th Kelly had small out patient surgery at the hospital on his toe. We dropped the kids off at Glenda's for the day. The 20th we where back in town as we had no power because of yes to much snow!!!  The 21st we went to folks for supper. The 23th was a holiday in Canada we had lots of company for supper. 23 people plus lots of kids. The 24th Nigel had his 18 month shots. They never seemed to bother him much. He didn't really run a fever. Kelly had to go back to the hospital for dressing change on his foot. The 25th Heidi had swim again. In the evening we went to Kevin and Rosi's to plan the school play day. The 26th we went to town to buy the things we needed for play day. Also bought some tree and shrubs. Time for some cutting of the old and putting in new. The 27th our morning started off at 6:30 with Heidi barfing. And an hour later Nigel started. Heidi was done my 10:30 that morning and Nigel was buy evening. The next day Kelly was sick so I know I had it coming. Nigel barfed once more and then he was done. Sunday we all stayed home from church. We went to folks for dinner. The 30th Heidi had swim again and I wasn't feeling good. We worked most of the day outside. The 31st Nigel barfed early in the morning but i'm thinking its from teeth as he is trying to cut his 2 year molars all ready.  Worked outside again and mowed the lawn. I still wasn't feeling good. We went to folks for supper as Isaac and Heather leave us on June 4th. They head to ON for a week or so then back to Haiti. A little on the kids. Nigel weights 25 pounds and is 33.5 inches tall and Heidi 39 inches tall. Nigel talks a lot and we can understand a lot of what he says. Heidi is still very talkative.  Her daddy finally finished her slide so she has been having lots of fun with it. Time to sign off. Till next time......
