Hello to all! Time to let you all see another month of our lives. October 1 and 2 Kelly worked in GP with fire stuff. He has been work a few weekends to make some extra money. He is helping train people as firefighters. The 4th was grocery day in town. The 5th we where back in town for parts. The 6th we dug the last of the carrots from the garden. They where huge and long and really sweet. I decided to blanch and freeze them because I don't have a cold storage to put them in. So the 7 I spent all day doing carrots. Kelly told Nigel in the morning with him to GP in the truck because he had to get stuff to blow insulation in our attic. That helped alot. Heidi plays really good by herself and she didn't bother me much. Casey came after school to help Kelly so he was here for supper. I got 25 2 cups packages of carrots. I peeled and sliced them and then blanched them. The 8th I cleaned house good and we had Galen's and Kelly's folks for supper. The 9th Marshal was here for dinner. The 10th was Thanksgiving day here in Canada. We always have a community supper at church. I had to make 4 loaves of bread and a pan of sweet potatoes. The 11th I had an orthodontist appointment in GP to see if my new retainer was still fitting me ok. The guys where able combine in the field even tho there was snow on the ground. The 12th I had a dr appointment in Beaverlodge. Kelly was in the field. The 13th Kelly was in the field again the is was the last day. They didn't quite get everything done. The only have about 200 acres left. The 14th I took my Pampered Chef stuff to Myra's because she was having a big fabric sale because Grace Fry from ON Had brought her truck here. We went to visit Ricky in the evening. He has been moved back to beaverlodge now and he can now spend the days at home if he wants to and some nights too. The 15th I cleaned the house and Kelly was in GP doing a medical course to get credits for school. The 16th we went singing at a nursing home in GP and in the evening we went to folks for supper. The 17th we left for Edmonton for a consultation so I can get laser eye surgery!!! I'm sooo excited!!!! The 18th was my appointment and I they told me I can get surgery!!! One of the best days of my life. The 21st found Kelly and I headed back to Edmonton for surgery. Heidi and Nigel stayed at Galen and Glenda's. It was the first time I had ever left Nigel for the night. It was fun to be kid free for a change. The surgery was the 22nd at 9:15. After lots more test I finally went for surgery at 11:30. It only took 10 minutes. The place where I had surgery was in a mall the there was a motel in the mall so we stayed there. Kelly helped me back to the room and in bed. The first day was lots of eye drops and and resting. 3 hours after surgery and I could see clearly. So excited!!!! The 23rd I had another appointment in the morning and then we headed home. I had no pain at all. Just needed to take it easy for a couple of days and dark sunglasses for a couple of days outside. The 26th Marshal was here for supper. Kelly's folks are in Germany because mom is getting back surgery. The 27th I cleaned house. The 28th I finished cleaning and we went to town. It was Nigel's 2nd birthday!!! My little boy is growing up!!! We wanted to take Galen's out for supper for watching our kids. The 29th Kelly had another work weekend in GP. The 30th Kelly worked again. Errol's came for supper in the evening. The 31st found us once again headed back to Edmonton for my last eye check up till a year from now. Well that's all for now. Till next time.......
