October 18, 2017

Hello to all. This is a little bit late going up because we have a baby in our house that takes up a lot of my time! But better late than never and I need to keep up with this so I don’t get so far behind. September 1. We did 3 dozen sweet corn from our garden for the freezer. Then decided to run to town to the farmers market to get some more. The place we wanted to get from was sold out so we can home. I sewed in the evening. The 2nd Kelly and Marshal ran to Dunvagan to get corn for us, Lorne’s, and folks. I got 20 2 cup packages of corn. We went to Errol’s for supper that night. The 3rd Kelly and the kids went to church both times.  After church we went to Galen’s for night lunch. The 4th I mowed lawn and cleaned up outside. At this point I was trying my hardest to get the baby out! We went to folks for supper and I took dessert. The 5th I cleaned house and in the evening, I sprayed round up. The 6th I had to appointments in town so I was trying to get everyone out the door and to Kelly so I could get to them. I was in the car and had forgotten the keys inside I was on my way back in to get them when my water broke! I guess baby girl had decided to come 2 days before she was suppose to! We took Heidi and Nigel to Galen’s and we went to the hospital. My sister Monica flew in to help us out that evening so Glenda picked her up from the airport.  Almost 12 hours after my water broke at 8:44 PM Margo Kendalyn made her entrance into the world. She gave us quite a scare because her heart rate kept dropping but once she was born she was fine. She was 8lbs and was 20 ½ inches long.  We are very happy to have her with us and Heidi and Nigel can’t leave her alone! Kelly came back home for the night because there was no reason for him to stay with me. The 7th he brought Monica, Heidi, and Nigel in to see me. Heidi was very pleased and wanted to hold her all the time. Nigel was more concerned about everything else the hospital room had to offer. They left about 12 and Tony, Mary Jo, Simon, and Molly came for a few minutes. Kelly came back after dinner and held Margo so I could take a nap. We got discharged that night after 9. It was very nice to be back home!  So, from here on out not much happened because you just don’t do much after a baby besides sit and cuddle them. The 8th folks came over in the evening to see Margo. The 10th Galen’s came over to see Margo. The 11th Kelly was in the field so Nigel rode with him for a while. The 12th Isaac’s came over in the evening. The 13th we ran to town for groceries. The 14th we went to Galen’s for supper. The 16th and the 17th Kelly had to work. The 18th I helped Monica clean house and then we went to folks for supper. The 19th Monica left and we where on our own! The 20th we had to run to town again. The 21st we went to Bruce’s for supper. The 22nd I had to be back at church to plan Thanksgiving supper. In the evening we went to folks for supper. The 23rd Anita brought us supper and I got really sick with a sore throat. The 24th I had a bad fever and still had a nasty throat so I went to the ER because I was thinking it was strep. The DR didn’t think it was and told me I would be better in a couple of days. Well it got worse. I had a fever of 40 and I couldn’t get it down. I called Kelly at church and he took me back to the ER and the DR then started me on medicine. The 25th Mary Jo made us soup for supper I was feeing better but still not prefect. Kelly spent a couple of nights on the couch with Margo so I could get some sleep. The 26th I was finally starting to feel better. The 28th we went to town. The 30th Kelly had to work again. The guys were in the field that last week so we had some suppers in the field. Nigel also spent a lot of time with Kelly in the tractor or the combine. My days now are spent taking care of a baby and my 2 other kids. I can only manage to get some laundry done and the dishes and maybe pick up. Hopefully things get easier soon. Till next time…….
