December 19, 2018

Wow as I was writing the date I told Kelly this the last blog for 2018. My how the year as flown by so many things have happened, many changes, and lessons hopefully learned. Ok so back to the month of November. The 1st I made raspberry cream cheese rolls. The 2nd I cleaned the house. The 3rd Kelly took us to the Merc for dinner. I don't think we have been there at all this year. Kelly went and worked at the place Marshal bought in the afternoon. I dropped some raspberry rolls off at Clay and Andrea's as they have lots of company for a wedding reception.  The 4th was Ricky's reception. Kelly had to be at church at 3:30 to practice songs and I had to be there at 5 for food committee stuff. The weather was very bad and I couldn't see the road very well. The 5th we went to Heather's for supper. The 6th we went to Beaverlodge. Margo and Nigel had vaccines and then we all but Kelly got the flu shot. I know some people are against it but we have noticed that we don't get fevers and if we do they don't last long. The 8th I cleaned. The 9th we went to town for groceries. Kelly had taken the car in when he went to work for some work. The 10th I had to take Kelly to town for fire stuff because our car wasn't done. It was done by the time Kelly came home so he got a ride to the shop where it was a brought it home. The 11th we had Byron's and Lowell's in the evening, The 12th Kelly had off and we had Lorne's and folks for supper. The 13th was sewing. The 15th Marshal came for supper. The 18th we has singing at old folks home in the afternoon. The 19th the kids and I ran to Heather's in the morning to say bye because they left the next day for ON, Brazil, and Haiti. Went to folks in the evening to tell Isaac bye. The 22nd the kids and I went to Emily's in the afternoon to see if or dog would get along with there's because we need a dog sitter in a couple of weeks. The 23rd we went to town for groceries and Christmas shopping. Heidi and Nigel stayed with Kelly's folks. The 24th we went to folk for dinner as they left the next day for a month long trip to Brazil for a tour of the Amazon River and a wedding. The 27th was sewing. We all went to Lorne's in the evening because I promised to made desserts for Kelly's fire Christmas party in a few days and I still didn't have the part for my oven. I made cream puffs and mini cupcakes. The 28th I took Heidi to get her hair trimmed. Then to folks to make party mix. Marshal came for supper. The 29th I went to folks in the morning to make a cheesecake. I didn't turn out so I went back after naps to try again and it worked. The 30th we went to town for a Christmas craft show that I used to have a table at. Well that's all for this time. Kelly is currently smoking ribs as we are hosting Christmas dinner this year. Smells so good! Till next time.......

December 16, 2018

Hello to all. I thought I would make this my Christmas letter and then in a couple of days I will do my normal monthly update on our lives. So much has happened over the past year. We are food committee so that along with normal life kept us busy. Kelly started a new job or should I say we are no longer self employed any more. There just wasn't enough money coming in the pay the bills. He started working at Freedom Machine in February right during revivals. He worked from 12 noon to midnight Monday to Thursday. So we didn't get to church much. I did try once but it was a fail so we stayed home to listen unless Kelly could come. The winter was the worse one this country has every seen. So much snow and wind. Our road was completely closed for a couple of weeks till a dozer and excavator could come open it. The snow was as high as our porch railing. So in spring when it got warm we  had water and lots of it. Our creek was within inches of our back porch and so many roads washed out. Kelly as a firefighter was getting emails everyday of roads they couldn't go on. I did plant a garden this year and we also got 21 chickens the end on May. We got enough eggs to get Lorne's, folks, us and one of Kelly's friends from work with eggs. In May the job Kelly had a Freedom didn't end up working out and we spent a few days worried and in prayer wondering what was next for us. God heard and he got another job in less than a week and could have had a second. He is currently working at Risley Steel as a machinist from 7-4 Monday to Friday. June was the start of a busy wedding season for us we had one wedding in June. The end of June we had an appointment for Nigel in Edmonton to see about a penicillin allergy. He doesn't have one to penicillin but to amoxicillin. Which they say his is pry allergic to something in the component that they use to make amoxicillin.  July found us busy with two weddings a week apart. August was another wedding. November was a reception. December now we just got back from spending a few days in Edmonton with my folks and really good friends Stuart and Lea. We had loads of fun with them all ad many memories where made.

Now a little on the children.       Heidi will be 6 in less than a week. She is very excited to start school some time this spring. She has lots of fun this summer at Bible School she went all day for a week. She is a tall skinny girl but can eat like crazy. She is in to coloring and drawing pictures.

Nigel turned 4 then end of October. He very proudly went marching off to Sunday School and when it was over he said Mom I had so much fun I want to go again! He weighs almost as much as Heidi and is just about as tall. He loves going with his dad to the farm on the weekends or to help at the fire hall.

Margo turned 1 in September. She is a very good baby and loves her dad. She will screech for joy when he comes home from work. She just started walking and now will almost run to the door if she catches wind hes home. We love to surprise her and not tell her and Kelly will kinda scare her. She will then screech and laugh. So fun to watch. She is a tiny little thing weighing barely 19 pounds.

Well I think that's all gonna have a quiet Christmas here. Jason's are coming and Tony's are going to MB. Isaac's are in Haiti till spring some time. Hope you all have a great Christmas. Let's not forget the real reason for Christmas.         Kelly, Kristen, Heidi, Nigel, & Margo

November 1, 2018

Hello to all. I thought this time I will give you a little day in the life when we are just home. When I do these blogs I just skip those days because they are boring but I like hearing how you other moms do things when you are just home. So I will try and tell you what a typical day in my life is when I don't leave the house.  So my day starts about 5:30 or so with Kelly telling me bye that he is leaving for work. Then about 8 - 8:30 Heidi, Nigel, and Margo wake up. Margo I give a bottle to and she will sometimes go back to sleep for a bit but not always. Heidi and Nigel come out and read books while I wake up on the couch and think about my day. Margo is usually up soon after her bottle is gone so she joins us in the living room and wakes up a bit before breakfast.  Breakfast for Heidi is always cinnamon toast crunch. She will not consider anything else but once in a great while she will have eggs. Nigel will have eggs (i haven't made them a way he won't eat them), oatmeal with raisins, or cereal. Margo will have scrambled eggs or yogurt and me i'm a cereal girl. Then it's time for chores. Heidi and Nigel have to empty the dishwasher, feed the dog and cat, make their beds, and get dressed before they play. While they are doing that I will dress Margo and comb her hair and get myself ready for the day. Then I start laundry. I try and do a load everyday. Heidi and Nigel will take turns helping me do it. Margo will go for a nap about 2 hours after woke up and sleep for about 1 hour or so. If it's nice out Heidi and Nigel will go outside and play and I will do what ever needs doing for the day. Lunch is around noon or so. After lunch Heidi and Nigel will often go back outside till nap time. Then I try and do my work with a 14 month old following me every where. Some times we just sit and play. Nap time is around 2-3 depending on Margo. I put Margo down first and then read some stories and put Heidi and Nigel down. Heidi doesn't always nap but I still make her rest for a bit. Now it's my quiet time. I till quick get dinner dishes done and start supper and then fold the clothes for the day and then put my feet up for a bit. Kelly normally gets home around 5 and naps are usually over by then. Supper is at 6 -6:30. Baths and showers start at 8 -8:30.  Margo goes to bed by 8 or so. I will do supper dishes after Margo is in bed because she is way to much help with the dishwasher. Heidi and Nigel go to bed by 9 and Kelly and I soon after. This is if everything goes prefect which it doesn't always. Hope you enjoyed that and now I will tell you a little about the month of October.
Oct 1 I did some sewing. The 2nd I made bread and we went to folks for supper. The 3rd I made more bread as I have to take bread for the Thanksgiving supper and I serve sewing lunch the next day. Kelly had to run to town for some parts so we went along. I had to take 4 loaves of bread and all the honey mustard. Supper started at 6 but we got there about 5 or so to help the youth in the kitchen. We don't have very many youth any more. The 9th I has to serve sewing lunch. I had to take bread and dessert. The 12th I cleaned the house. the 13th Kelly and I dropped off Heidi and Nigel at his folks and went to town for groceries and his boss's birthday party at his work. The 14th we listened to my cousin Derek's wedding and then in the afternoon to Ricky's wedding. In the evening we decided to drive to Dawson as we hadn't been there in a really long time. The 15th I cleaned out 2 of my kitchen cupboards as we decided to do some moving in the kitchen and I needed to find room for some things. I got two medium size totes with stuff i didn't really use. One was stuff I wanted to keep and one I donated to Heather and gave the rest to Goodwill. The 16th I cleaned again. The 17th I went to Mom's to work on a special project that I needed Elaine's and Mom's help with. The 18th I made some french bread. The 19th I cleaned again. The last few evenings Kelly had been helping with harvest. He gets home and I pack him and Heidi and Nigel a supper and they go the field for a while. They have been running 3 combines this year. Kelly can't work as late as they all do because he has to work the next day. He stayed out till 10:30 or 11 and Heidi and Nigel stayed with him. The 20th Kelly was in the field all day and we had supper in the field. The 21st we went to Jared and Megan's for lunch and in the evening my car was almost out of gas so we ran to A&W for supper and the gas in BL. The 23rd we where in the field for supper. Kelly helped the last nights in the field. The 24th we had food committee meeting to help plan Ricky's reception. The 25th I made food for hot lunch the next day. I decided to  make Cheesy Chicken and Rice with lettuce salad and french bread with cookies for dessert. I made one casserole and all the bread. In the evening Mom and Heather stopped in for a bit.  The 26th I served hot lunch. Came home and had quick naps then I took Heidi and Nigel to folks for the evening while I went to town. Got Kelly from work and we did groceries quick and then to a retirement party for one of the guys at his work. The 27th I made cupcakes for Nigel's birthday. Kelly took Heidi and Nigel to town for parts for my car. A few things need fixing before winter sets in. In the evening we went to folks for harvest supper. They had finished harvest late Friday night. The 28th my little boy turned 4! He very proudly went marching off to Sunday School. I for the first time in years sat all by my self in Sunday school. Margo sits with Kelly because she sits way better with him then me. After Sunday school Nigel told me "mom I had so much fun!" The 29th I cleaned and had Isaac's for supper. He was helping Kelly fix my car. Heather had carpal tunnel surgery on her hand on Friday and one of Kelly's first cousins girl is out helping her with Nathaniel. The 30th I did book work which I do once a month. Kelly worked or on my car then realized he needed more part so he went to machine in the shop at folks as he has a job to do for someone. The 31st Kelly and the older kids finished fixing my car and then they went to the farm and he finished up his machining job. Well that's all for this time. Hope I didn't make it to long! Till next time......

October 9, 2018

Hello to all. Once again it's time to sit and get this out. Back to September 1. Kelly worked at Issac's house helping get the outside done. I was sick with a nasty cold. The 2nd I was still sick and stayed home from church with Margo. The 3rd Kelly had the day off so he helped at Isaac's again. In the evening we went to folks for supper. The 4th I cleaned the house. The 6th was Margo's birthday! I can't believe my baby is 1! She isn't walking yet and doesn't seem to want to. She weighs 19lbs and 28" long. The Dr said she is tiny little thing. The 7th I made cupcakes for Margo's birthday party in the evening. She had a unicorn party! The cupcakes where pink, purple, and teal. They turned out very cute. We had Tony's Isaac's, Lorne's, Marshal, Folks, Galen's, and Jared's. Full house but lots of fun. We gave Margo her own cupcake and she smashed it to bits and ate it. She was very pleased no one stopped her from making a mess. The 8th and 9th Kelly had a fire course in Grande Prairie so he was gone. Sunday he didn't need to go in till 1 so we did go to Sunday school and came home and had a quick dinner. In the evening I listened to Mark give his report. It was very interesting. Sure wish I could come see you all Wendy but hopefully next summer.  The 10th I decided to start a project I have been wanting to do for a long time. Paint the fire place brick. I made my own custom color. I did a light grey. Let me say this brick is hard to paint but it looks awesome when it done! You only need one coat of paint. The 11th Heidi, Nigel, and I had a dentist appointment in the afternoon. I picked up Kelly at work and he came and held Margo for me. I stopped at Home Depot on the way home and picked up a gallon of paint for the wood wall around the fireplace brick. I came home and got the first coat on the wood. I painted it white. I was so tired of the living room so dark in the winter time. It makes a huge difference now. I love it. The 12th I finished painting  the wood in the morning. and then cleaned the house and made supper for company. Our friends brother and sister in law where visiting from Texas. I made creamy chicken and rice, Carrots, and applesauce. Folks and Lorne's came in the evening and Mom brought the dessert. The 13th Kelly had his dentist appointment. The 14th went to town and got groceries. We all ways pick up Kelly after work and get our stuff down then we come home. Kelly helped Isaac's move after we got home. The 15th Kelly helped Isaac's move again the then they all come for supper. The 17th Margo had a dr appointment for her one year check up. The 19th we went to Issac's in the evening. Margo took her first steps just before we left. The 21st I cleaned the house and in the evening we went to Crooked Creek for a Fall craft sale. It was fun but way to many people for the small space it was in. The 22nd we went to folks for supper. Lorne's had there 4th baby. A girl Margaret Faye. The 24th I did bookwork and in the evening we went to Isaac's for apples and caramel because Darrell and Vicky came out quick to take parts of some sort to the Fort. The 25th Kelly helping out in the field after work. Margo and I went to Tony's for cupcakes for the twin's birthday. They turned 3 about a week ago. Also for Vicky's girl Rebecca who also also turned 3 right before the twins. The 27th I started sewing for Heidi. The 28th I cleaned the house and in the afternoon  we went to town for groceries. And I made the lunch list for sewing. Fun food committee duties. The 29th I was looking for some fabric to make Heidi some dresses and I found some flannel that i had bought if Nigel was a girl and forgot about them with Margo so I sewed around them and took them to Elaine. While I was there Lorne wondering if I wanted to go Chinese food from Beaverlodge and we could have supper with them. So we did. It was a fun evening. Well I forgot that sometime the week of the 17th we as food committee got together with the youth leaders and planned the Thanksgiving supper. The youth serve the supper but we as food committee have to planned the food. Well that's all for this month. Till next time......

In the evening we all rode on the silage truck with Kelly. The 24th I cleaned and made food for all the people painting a Heather's house. Kelly didn't get the job with city fire. So ya I guess you can see we have been busy. Margo is crawling all over and Heidi and Nigel are busy playing outside. Heidi can ride her bike without training wheels so she goes all over now. Well hope you enjoy reading and till next time.....

May 18, 2018

Hello to all. Once again it's time to update you all on our lives. Our snow is finally gone! We had lots of flooding and lots of roads washed out. As some of you  know we have a creek the runs in the spring right by our house. The water was with in 2 feet or less of our pouch. The water was really really muddy this year so it left lots of mud on the lawn. Right now the farmers are busy seeding and have been for a good week or so. I don't think they are getting in the fields any later than normal. Back to April 1 we went to folks for dinner. The 2nd and 3rd I cleaned house. The 5th the kids and I went to folks in the evening as Vicky and her girls where here. Kelly was working the night shift because they where really busy. The 6th we served hot lunch at school. Also we ran to town in the evening for groceries. The 7th it was Kelly's birthday. HE took Nigel and went to a gun show in Dawson Creek. I made a couple of cakes for supper and we told them to folks in the evening for cake and ice cream. The 8th we had folks, Vicky, and Isaac's for dinner. In the evening we went to Kevin and Rosi's. The 12th we went to folks in the evening. The 13th we left the kids at Tony's even Margo and went out for supper for our anniversary. We also went to the home show a bit and to a grocery store for some milk. We go through about 5-6 gallons of milk in about 2 weeks time and about 5 dozen eggs. We can't wait to get chickens the middle of May. The 15th quit a few people went to church in the evening and the men did a bunch of singing. The 19th I took Margo and Nigel to the ER in the evening. Kelly took Heidi to fire meeting. Margo had an ear infection and Nigel had sinus infection. The 20th we went to folks for supper. The 25th the kids and I went to the library in the morning. The 26th I decided that we needed something fun to do so I got everyone in the car and we went to Beaverlodge  for lunch and went through the A &W drive through. Then we ate in the car on the way home. The 27th we went to town for groceries.  The 28th we went to folks for supper. The 29th we went to Galen's for dinner and in the evening we as food committee went to church to plan food for the first of 3 weddings that we have coming up so far. It will be fun to this all with 3 kids but we will make it work and people will have to be willing to baby sit for us. The 30th I did book work in the morning and then ran to Beaverlodge and got Heidi and Nigel booked in to swim lessons for the month of May. Let's just say they are beyond excited! Well currently alot has changed in our lives in the last week or so. Unfortunately the job that Kelly had didn't end up working out and so it was back to the drawing board we started sending out resume's again. He sent about 7 or so and heard back from 2 so right now he is doing machining at a different place in the GP. The hours are Monday- Friday 8-430. The other job we heard from is to be a full time fire fighter but the process to get in takes about 3 - 4 months. So he is gonna start that as well. The kids are loving it outside. Heidi has finally gotten braver on her bike so she rides all over. They both love the swings and the sand box. Margo has a swing to and it has been very helpful for me to take her out there and Heidi and Nigel love to take turns pushing her. Margo has popped 2 teeth in the last week so i'm finally getting my happy baby back. Well that's all I have time for right now. Till next time.....  PS please excuse any spelling mistakes. I'm not a very good speller and sometimes my fingers go fast then I can think!😊

April 10, 2018

Hello to all. Once again it's time to up date you all on our lives. We still have TONS of snow. I tried to get to our shed the other day and I sunk up passed my knees. Yes it's ridicules and it's currently snowing again. I'm so sick of being stuck in a house with 3 kids. H and N do go outside but it doesn't last long. So back to March. The 3rd K had a fire training or something a couple of hours away. The 6th Isaac and Heather welcomed Nathaniel Roland. K came to town ready with me and the kids and we did a bit of Costco shopping. He then went to work and we went to see the baby for a bit. Then we went and and seen K at his shop. The kids hadn't been there before. The 7th I took pizza to folks for supper. The 8th N and M had a dr appointment. M had a 6 month check up and the dr checked Ns heart mummer and said he was fine. The 9th we went to the farm show. La Glace fire had a booth there so K helped a bit. La Glace fire does all the large animal rescue for all the county so that's what booth was about. The 10th one of Ks friends called him and said they where in GP and wondered if we wanted to come meet them so we did for a bit in the evening. They have 3 kids so we meet at McDonald's so the kids could play.  The 11th we went to Crooked Creek for a wedding. I don't know if any of you remember that Josh that lived with us a couple of times in Edmonton well his sister got married. In the evening we had the food committee over in the evening just to decide who was gonna do the buying and such. The 12th I sewed. The 13th I finished sewing. The 14th I started book work. I was pretty far behind so it did take me awhile. Plus I have 3 littles to look after so some days I didn't work much on it and others I worked all day on it. The 15th I did book work. The 16th all of us food committee went back to church and cleaned the kitchen really good. We all made a pizza and took it for supper. The 18th it was our turn to go to town in the afternoon to sing and a rest home. The 21st was sewing. M had a check up at the dr because we had tried some reflux meds to see if it helped with her spitting up all the time. I didn't feel that it was working so we took her off. Also talked to the dr about Ns penicillin allergy and what happens if we get in an accident how do people know he can't have it. So we decided to take him to Edmonton later this summer to a specialist and get more testing done and go from there. Dr said lots of kids have reactions to it but not all are allergic. When he reacted to it he got a rash all over and his face got a bit swollen. It will be nice to find out for sure. Then we went to sewing for a bit. The 23rd K and I had a meeting in town so we left the older two with Heather. In the evening was Heather's baby shower. Just the girls and I went. It was really cute. There where lots of people there and she got a ton of gifts! The 24th K offered we could make pizza for a whole family. I really don't mind but it is a ton of work. We did do it at folks because they have a bigger house. The 25th the youth had there Easter program in the evening and we had snacks after. The 27th M had her 6 month shots. She weighs 15 lbs and 4 oz and I can't remember how long she is. She is in 9 month clothes now and still fits some 6 month still. She can sit by her self and is really pleased about it. She loves food. She eats what ever we are having for a meal. Last night she ate a whole yogurt but 2 bites. H and N didn't eat that much till they where about one. She also likes the applesauce packs and can eat almost a whole one at a time. Her new nick name is Porky Pig! She is a very smiley girl and most of the time is very happy! Ok back to March 27th. After Ms shots we came home and K went to work. I did more book work. The 28th I did book work all day and almost finished it. The 29th I finally got it done. K had the day off because of Good Friday. Yes I know it was Thursday but because of how funny Canada is he had to a Thursday off. The 30th we had church in the morning and then went to folks for dinner. I made pies for dessert. The 31st we went to town to Costco to get Hs glasses fixed till we can get to her eye dr. We that's all. I guess I did a little update on M before and not much had changed with the others. Till next time......

March 14, 2017

Hello to everyone. Time to sit down and write again. I do enjoy doing this it's hard sometimes to find the time. So back to the first of February. On the first we went ran to town. We left Heidi and Nigel with Heather. She kinda needed something else to think about with Isaac's mom passing. The 3rd we went to folks for supper. The 4th we where at the folks dinner. Everyone got home from Haiti from 2nd or 3rd I can't remember for sure. The 5th I took a bread order to town and went to folks for supper. The 6th Jason's left. The 10th I took another bread order to town. The 11th meetings started and Kelly had 3 fire calls. The 12th Kelly started his new job. I went to church in the evening but if you remember my last blog it didn't go to well. The 13th the ministers came over in the morning for a visit. The 15th Kelly had an ice rescue course with the fire. He has to renew this course every 3 years or so. The 16th Kelly had ice rescue again. Also Heidi and Nigel had eye appointments. Heidi had been complaining alot about head aches and I knew the sometimes an eye problem can cause that. Sure enough she needs glasses. She doesn't have a sight problem but a lazy eye. We have noticed a big difference in her now. She can focus way longer on things and can color way better.  She also seems to be calmer. So if you remember from the last post Kelly's hours are Monday - Thursday 2-12. Well that has changed a little bit. He now works Monday-Wednesday 12-11 and Thursday 9-5. They will stay like this till busy season which starts the first part of April then they will be Monday- Thursday 12-12. I don't mind the hours at all because he gets 3 days off. Back to the 19th Kelly had off because it was a holiday here. The 22nd I left Heidi and Nigel at folks because Margo had an appointment at the hospital to see the heart dr. He said everything was fine and we don't need to come back. We went to folks for supper. The 23rd we went to town for groceries. Kelly and I had a couple of appointments in town so Heidi and Nigel stayed with folks again. Heather likes having them around. Well that is all for this month. We had really bad weather this month. I wish I could put a picture of our road. We where snowed in for a couple of days. It took the snow plow 6 plus hours just to clear a mile of road. Most of our road you can't meet another car because there is to much snow. The wind was so bad it drifted everything shut. So we just stayed home. I spend most of the month sewing for myself and Heidi.  Some other exciting news it that Issac and Heather had there baby the first part of March. Nathaniel Roland. Roland is Isaac's dads name. He is very cute and lots black hair. Have to run. Till next time.....

February 13, 2018

Hello to all. So to much to write about in January because we where still in MI for some of the time. Some exciting news that has happened to us is Kelly got a job working at a Machine shop in town. We are very excited and ready to see what this new adventure has for us. The hours are Monday - Thursday 2 p.m. till midnight. Not the greatest hours but that's how they train people so it will pry change over the next few months. We also started meetings on Sunday so I have to try and get everyone to church by myself. After doing that once I decided we will be better off staying home and listening. It's a lot taking 3 kids and one being a baby to church. They all sat with me. We got into church and sat down and soon Nigel needed to pee. So I got up with Margo and took him out. Just got settled back in and Margo needed a nap. I tried to put her to sleep in the bench but it didn't work this time. So up I get taking both kids with me because I have know idea how long this will take. Well I just decided it wasn't worth it. So we will stay home till Kelly can join us.  Tonight church was canceled because of weather. So back to the month of January. On the 9th we got back to Calgary. It was late and very cold. We started home and the roads got bad so we stopped in Red Deer for night. The 10th we drove to Edmonton and made a few stopped and then headed home. Got home around 9ish if I remember right. the 12th we took Margo to the ER. If I remember right she had a really bad cough and we wanted to make sure it wasn't bad. The 13th Kelly had a fire call. The 16th I had a physio appointment in the morning and then we ran to town for groceries. So I decided that instead of trying to clean my whole house in one day that I would do one room and day so it would be easier to keep up and I have told myself that it's ok if that's all I get done in a day. The 18th I cleaned the kitchen. The 20th we went to Spring Lake. It's really close to us and it has a ski lift and sledding hill. Kelly went snow boarding and Heidi and Nigel went sledding. I stayed in the lodge with Margo. I was sick also. I had a sinus infection. They don't treat it right away here. First they have you try other things like a nettie pot and nasal spray to see if it takes care of it. Well it worked for a few weeks and now i'm now on antibiotics for it. The 22nd Jason and Carissa got here with there little baby Jacob. I cleaned the living room. In the evening we went to Tony's for supper. Well i'm seeing as i type this i didn't do very good with writing everything down. At some point before this I did clean the bathroom really good. Kelly's folks and Isaac where gone this whole time in Haiti. They came home on the 2nd of February. Also I made supper for Heather and took it to her. Ricky also joined us for supper. Heather was also over a lot because Marshal was gone some of the time as well. Back to the 23rd. We got the news in the morning that Isaac's mom had passed. Kelly went over to folks to be with Heather. I went to sewing for a bit and then to folks.  We went to folks in the evening for supper. The very nice people of the congregation brought food in most very night till folks got home. Lorne's and Tony's left the 24th to fly to Haiti for the funeral. I cleaning the dinning room really good. Heidi and Margo had shots in the afternoon. We went to folks for the evening. The 25th I had another physio appointment in the morning. We where at folks in the evening. The 26th I cleaned up the kids room good and got rid of broken toys and such. I also made breakfast because the funeral was the 27th and 5:30 in the morning. I made cinnamon rolls, raspberry cream cheese rolls, biscuits and gravy, and an egg casserole. The 27 the I had the breakfast over at folks by 8:00. Well that's all I have written down except that I took Heidi and Nigel for haircuts. I know ones of those days right after the funeral we went to folks for supper and then one night they all came here for supper.  Well that is all for this time. Next month I will try and do better. We are trying to figure out a bit of a schedule since Kelly got a job. Maybe by next month we will have this a little more normal. For those of you who are new here welcome. Please excuse my spelling mistakes as I normally type this late at night and spelling doesn't come easy for me. Till next time.....

January 15, 2018

Hello to everyone! I am doing this on the 13th of January. We don’t have internet right now so I will have to post it later. Our internet “broke” while we where on vacation. How does internet brake you may ask? Well the best answer I can give you is while we where gone it got super cold here like -40 and even colder and they think it cracked something. I guess it’s to cold to fix it now but by next week it’s suppose to warm up so they will fix it then. Thank -you to all who sent us Christmas cards and letters! We love to hear what goes on in your lives! I will try and tell you a little about ours. Before I start my monthly post. Some exciting things happened over the last year. At the beginning we found out we where having another baby. We where very happy but soon the morning sickness hit and it  was by far was the worse yet. I was on two different medications to keep from barfing. Sometime in early summer we found out we where having a little girl. Heidi was very excited to have a little sister. The first part of July Kelly was working about 1 ½ hours away and someone came onto our yard on morning came to the door and talked to me. When she left she took our pickup. To this day we still don’t know where it is and far as we know RCMP haven’t caught the lady yet. The middle of July my sister Lindsey and her husband Darren and my niece Kylee came to spend a week. We had lots of fun with them in our little house. The first part of August our church hosted teachers prep and we are food committee so we where busy with that. Then September 6, 2017 a week and a half early our little 8 pound girl joined our family. We named her Margo Kendalyn. She is the sweetest little thing but also my worse baby for fussiness. Also on the 6th my sister Monica came and lived with us for 2 weeks to help out with everything. Then Christmas we flew home to Michigan this year to be with my family for 2 weeks. We had a great time! Now a little about my other 2 children. Heidi is 5 and told me the other day that she is a youth girl now. She is always on the move and only stops to colour or do a puzzle. She loves to help empty the dishwasher, take care of clothes, or help with Margo. Nigel is 3 and thinks he is as big as his dad. He is always asking to go help him. After harvest this year my floors got combined lots and had lots of grain carts and trucks on them. He to loves to help out where he can and play with Margo. Margo is a sweet little girl and almost always has a big smile on her face. She loves to watch Heidi and Nigel play. She sleeps really good most nights but has her nights where she is up a lot. She rolls over and is laughing now. Kelly is still a machinist and had been busy with it this past year. He is also a Firefighter and got a promotion this year to lieutenant with hopes to be Station Captain in the next couple of years. He spends most his summers in training and the winters taking courses.  Me I just try and keep up with the dishes, laundry, cooking, and cleaning which has gotten a lot harder since the baby. I have had to give up Pampered Chef for now because I don’t have the time any more for it. It’s kinda sad but also a relief not to have it.  Ok now on to the month of December. The 1st and 2nd  I was at the trade show in town. I didn’t do as good this year as in the past but it wasn’t bad. The 5th Margo had an appointment with our family dr to go over her ultrasound. She has a heart murmur but the dr isn’t concerned about it. The 7th was Margo and I’s last appointment with my OB.  She is sending us to a heart dr just to make sure her heart is ok.  The 8th Nigel had a haircut and we went to Kelly’s folks for supper. The 9th we went to Heartvalley in the evening to a wedding reception.  It was for Kelly’s first cousin. The 10th we went to folks for dinner and in the evening, we went to Greg and Olive because they where having an open house for the church library. The 11th Heidi was sick. The 13th Kelly was helping Clay put up tin in his shop so we went to there for dinner. The 16th was the La Glace fire Christmas Party. This year it was at the curling rink. The kids had lots of fun going up and down the lanes in inner tubes. The 17th the youth had there Christmas program in the evening. The 18th Kelly went over to Frank’s had helped with building his house. In the evening there was caroling in Hythe. The 19th we had to go to town to deliver the pampered chef orders and get stuff for church for the children’s Christmas program. The 20th Kelly had to work in town and we had to be back at church by 5:30 to set up for the snacks after the program. The 21st we went and picked up cupcakes for Heidi’s birthday. The 22nd my little girl turned 5! I can’t believe it! We had the Isaac Christmas as well so we had her birthday cupcakes for dessert. The 23rd we headed to Calgary to fly to Michigan for Christmas. We got just passed Foxcreek about 2 ½ hours down road and we got in a massive car pile up. We where not hit and didn’t hit anyone but seen lots of people hitting the back of trucks and going in the ditch. It was bad. We where there for 4 hours. There had been a bad accident about a 1 mile ahead of us. The roads where icy and you couldn’t see very far in front of you. We finally got on our way again and the roads never did get much better. It got so bad passed Edmonton we where only going 10 mile an hour. We hit the ditch once but got out right away. We made it to Calgary about 11:30 that night. Our plane left at 8 on the 24th so we had to be up by 5:30. Got on our first flight to Minneapolis and had to run to our next plane clear on the other side of the airport. Made it just in time for everyone to use the bathroom and then we boarded for Grand Rapids. We landed at 3:30. Spent lots of fun times with family and friends. All of my sisters came so it was fun. We even went down to Lindsey’s for a couple of days. She only lives 3 hours from folks.  While we where at folks my Great Grandma died. She was 107. We had found out a day or so before she wasn’t doing good. She has been wishing for years to died so she finally got her wish. It was nice to see all my cousins and Aunts and Uncles. Kelly hadn’t met most of them so now he knows who we are talking about. Well that it all for this time. Till next time…..
