December 16, 2018

Hello to all. I thought I would make this my Christmas letter and then in a couple of days I will do my normal monthly update on our lives. So much has happened over the past year. We are food committee so that along with normal life kept us busy. Kelly started a new job or should I say we are no longer self employed any more. There just wasn't enough money coming in the pay the bills. He started working at Freedom Machine in February right during revivals. He worked from 12 noon to midnight Monday to Thursday. So we didn't get to church much. I did try once but it was a fail so we stayed home to listen unless Kelly could come. The winter was the worse one this country has every seen. So much snow and wind. Our road was completely closed for a couple of weeks till a dozer and excavator could come open it. The snow was as high as our porch railing. So in spring when it got warm we  had water and lots of it. Our creek was within inches of our back porch and so many roads washed out. Kelly as a firefighter was getting emails everyday of roads they couldn't go on. I did plant a garden this year and we also got 21 chickens the end on May. We got enough eggs to get Lorne's, folks, us and one of Kelly's friends from work with eggs. In May the job Kelly had a Freedom didn't end up working out and we spent a few days worried and in prayer wondering what was next for us. God heard and he got another job in less than a week and could have had a second. He is currently working at Risley Steel as a machinist from 7-4 Monday to Friday. June was the start of a busy wedding season for us we had one wedding in June. The end of June we had an appointment for Nigel in Edmonton to see about a penicillin allergy. He doesn't have one to penicillin but to amoxicillin. Which they say his is pry allergic to something in the component that they use to make amoxicillin.  July found us busy with two weddings a week apart. August was another wedding. November was a reception. December now we just got back from spending a few days in Edmonton with my folks and really good friends Stuart and Lea. We had loads of fun with them all ad many memories where made.

Now a little on the children.       Heidi will be 6 in less than a week. She is very excited to start school some time this spring. She has lots of fun this summer at Bible School she went all day for a week. She is a tall skinny girl but can eat like crazy. She is in to coloring and drawing pictures.

Nigel turned 4 then end of October. He very proudly went marching off to Sunday School and when it was over he said Mom I had so much fun I want to go again! He weighs almost as much as Heidi and is just about as tall. He loves going with his dad to the farm on the weekends or to help at the fire hall.

Margo turned 1 in September. She is a very good baby and loves her dad. She will screech for joy when he comes home from work. She just started walking and now will almost run to the door if she catches wind hes home. We love to surprise her and not tell her and Kelly will kinda scare her. She will then screech and laugh. So fun to watch. She is a tiny little thing weighing barely 19 pounds.

Well I think that's all gonna have a quiet Christmas here. Jason's are coming and Tony's are going to MB. Isaac's are in Haiti till spring some time. Hope you all have a great Christmas. Let's not forget the real reason for Christmas.         Kelly, Kristen, Heidi, Nigel, & Margo
