December 19, 2018
Wow as I was writing the date I told Kelly this the last blog for 2018. My how the year as flown by so many things have happened, many changes, and lessons hopefully learned. Ok so back to the month of November. The 1st I made raspberry cream cheese rolls. The 2nd I cleaned the house. The 3rd Kelly took us to the Merc for dinner. I don't think we have been there at all this year. Kelly went and worked at the place Marshal bought in the afternoon. I dropped some raspberry rolls off at Clay and Andrea's as they have lots of company for a wedding reception. The 4th was Ricky's reception. Kelly had to be at church at 3:30 to practice songs and I had to be there at 5 for food committee stuff. The weather was very bad and I couldn't see the road very well. The 5th we went to Heather's for supper. The 6th we went to Beaverlodge. Margo and Nigel had vaccines and then we all but Kelly got the flu shot. I know some people are against it but we have noticed that we don't get fevers and if we do they don't last long. The 8th I cleaned. The 9th we went to town for groceries. Kelly had taken the car in when he went to work for some work. The 10th I had to take Kelly to town for fire stuff because our car wasn't done. It was done by the time Kelly came home so he got a ride to the shop where it was a brought it home. The 11th we had Byron's and Lowell's in the evening, The 12th Kelly had off and we had Lorne's and folks for supper. The 13th was sewing. The 15th Marshal came for supper. The 18th we has singing at old folks home in the afternoon. The 19th the kids and I ran to Heather's in the morning to say bye because they left the next day for ON, Brazil, and Haiti. Went to folks in the evening to tell Isaac bye. The 22nd the kids and I went to Emily's in the afternoon to see if or dog would get along with there's because we need a dog sitter in a couple of weeks. The 23rd we went to town for groceries and Christmas shopping. Heidi and Nigel stayed with Kelly's folks. The 24th we went to folk for dinner as they left the next day for a month long trip to Brazil for a tour of the Amazon River and a wedding. The 27th was sewing. We all went to Lorne's in the evening because I promised to made desserts for Kelly's fire Christmas party in a few days and I still didn't have the part for my oven. I made cream puffs and mini cupcakes. The 28th I took Heidi to get her hair trimmed. Then to folks to make party mix. Marshal came for supper. The 29th I went to folks in the morning to make a cheesecake. I didn't turn out so I went back after naps to try again and it worked. The 30th we went to town for a Christmas craft show that I used to have a table at. Well that's all for this time. Kelly is currently smoking ribs as we are hosting Christmas dinner this year. Smells so good! Till next time.......

December 16, 2018
Hello to all. I thought I would make this my Christmas letter and then in a couple of days I will do my normal monthly update on our lives. So much has happened over the past year. We are food committee so that along with normal life kept us busy. Kelly started a new job or should I say we are no longer self employed any more. There just wasn't enough money coming in the pay the bills. He started working at Freedom Machine in February right during revivals. He worked from 12 noon to midnight Monday to Thursday. So we didn't get to church much. I did try once but it was a fail so we stayed home to listen unless Kelly could come. The winter was the worse one this country has every seen. So much snow and wind. Our road was completely closed for a couple of weeks till a dozer and excavator could come open it. The snow was as high as our porch railing. So in spring when it got warm we had water and lots of it. Our creek was within inches of our back porch and so many roads washed out. Kelly as a firefighter was getting emails everyday of roads they couldn't go on. I did plant a garden this year and we also got 21 chickens the end on May. We got enough eggs to get Lorne's, folks, us and one of Kelly's friends from work with eggs. In May the job Kelly had a Freedom didn't end up working out and we spent a few days worried and in prayer wondering what was next for us. God heard and he got another job in less than a week and could have had a second. He is currently working at Risley Steel as a machinist from 7-4 Monday to Friday. June was the start of a busy wedding season for us we had one wedding in June. The end of June we had an appointment for Nigel in Edmonton to see about a penicillin allergy. He doesn't have one to penicillin but to amoxicillin. Which they say his is pry allergic to something in the component that they use to make amoxicillin. July found us busy with two weddings a week apart. August was another wedding. November was a reception. December now we just got back from spending a few days in Edmonton with my folks and really good friends Stuart and Lea. We had loads of fun with them all ad many memories where made.
Now a little on the children. Heidi will be 6 in less than a week. She is very excited to start school some time this spring. She has lots of fun this summer at Bible School she went all day for a week. She is a tall skinny girl but can eat like crazy. She is in to coloring and drawing pictures.
Nigel turned 4 then end of October. He very proudly went marching off to Sunday School and when it was over he said Mom I had so much fun I want to go again! He weighs almost as much as Heidi and is just about as tall. He loves going with his dad to the farm on the weekends or to help at the fire hall.
Margo turned 1 in September. She is a very good baby and loves her dad. She will screech for joy when he comes home from work. She just started walking and now will almost run to the door if she catches wind hes home. We love to surprise her and not tell her and Kelly will kinda scare her. She will then screech and laugh. So fun to watch. She is a tiny little thing weighing barely 19 pounds.
Well I think that's all gonna have a quiet Christmas here. Jason's are coming and Tony's are going to MB. Isaac's are in Haiti till spring some time. Hope you all have a great Christmas. Let's not forget the real reason for Christmas. Kelly, Kristen, Heidi, Nigel, & Margo
