December 23,2019

Hello to all! It has been a long time since I have posted anything but for good reason which I will explain in this Christmas letter! First, I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas from our house to yours. As I was asking Heidi and Nigel if they knew about the Christmas story the other morning and in their way of telling it I was humbled at the thought of our Lord and Savior being born in a barn and yet he came to do go something so great as to save us all. Each year it seems a different part of the Christmas story impresses me and this was my little impression this year. Now on to a little about our year. Don’t remember to much about the first part of the year. Kelly was busy working at Risley Steel in Grande Prairie. In March we (I think) found out a good friend of ours was getting Married in Michigan! We had been talking of going to Michigan and so point in the summer away and thought maybe this was a good time! So, tickets where bought the excitement began. In April our big girl Heidi started Kindergarten. She was ever so excited! School was 5 weeks long 3 days a week. The end on May beginning of June My little sister Sam called and told me she was getting married in August! So back to Michigan for her wedding! Our friend Wynn’s wedding was in June so we headed to that. Had lots of fun with family and friends! After visiting with friends and sharing some of our thought it was brought up on different occasions that maybe we should move. While this has never been and new thought to us, we just where not sure if this was the right time. Can we afford it? What about our house and land? Where would we move to? What about our little family? Would we be about to find work? Many questions flood our minds.  Decided to do a lot of praying. We always have had a place in mind but are we sure it’s the Lord’s leading? Came home from that trip with lots of thinking and praying to do. The rest of the summer was fairly quite prepping for Sam’s wedding and then Kelly’s brother Marshal told us that he too was getting married!! Very exciting time! Tickets where bought for Sam’s wedding and it seemed the door opened for us to spend a few extra days with Kelly’s sister in Hesson ON. A place that has always been on our mind if should ever move. Sam married Henry Yost from Living Hope Kansas in August. We had a great time at the wedding made a lot of fun memories and new friends! Back at Hesson after the wedding and we felt the door opening for us to move. Kelly found a job the day before we left and all that was left was a place to live and a moving date. Back to Hythe to get ready for Marshals wedding and moving. We decided to move the first week of October. Heidi started grade 1 in September and was very excited. Marshal married Amy from Hythe the end of September. Kelly quit work about then as well and we where busy packing and making arrangements for our house to be rented moving trucks. We found a great renter for our house. Brother in law Darrell drove our pickup and trailer we bought for us and after a bit of a break down made it safe and sound. I drove our car with 2 children and Kelly drove the uhaul with our dog and another child. We did it 55 hours. That was driving time and included stopping for gas and food. We spend one night at my cousin’s in rosewood. The rest in motels along the way. My folks came to help us unpack for a day and then we started to settle in. Heidi started her new school a day or so after we moved and settled in really quickly. So now we call Hesson our home and have been enjoying our new life. Kelly works as a machinist in a town about 10 minutes from our house. We are living in a little house we are renting till June in Listowel. Hopefully next year we can buy a house but if not, we will find something else to rent. Well I think that is all! I will start posting on here again in January. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Love Kelly, Kristen, Heidi (7) , Nigel (5), Margo (2)

July 15, 2019

Hello to all! I have had good intentions to sit and type this out but such is life. Been busy with getting ready for 2 family weddings and Heidi and Nigel are in swim lessons again. Yes we have 2 weddings this year! My youngest sister Sam is getting married to Henry Yost from Living Hope on August 11 and Kelly's youngest brother Marshal is getting married to Amy Loetkeman from here on September 22.   So lots of sewing a planning. I really doubt I will sew for both weddings. I think I will wear what I have sewed for Sam's wedding for Marshal's as well. So back to June 1, I mowed lawn and tilled the garden and we went to the field with Lorne's for supper. He was just finishing up seeding the last field. The 4th I went to town for groceries. The 5th I worked at the fire hall doing paperwork for Kelly. All the calls they have been on have to be paper filed and entered in the computer on a program they use. I just had to enter the calls into the computer. The 6th I finished the paper work. Heidi was invited to a friend's birthday party in the afternoon so we went to that. In the evening Kelly had a hair cut at Gail's our neighbor lady's. The 7th I took the car to the local shop so they could order parts to fix the AC. The 11th the children and I went and listened to the school program and then went to town afterward. The 12th I had my last physio appointment for my ankle in Beaverlodge. In the evening we got all the suitcases packed because we leave for Edmonton to  fly to Michigan. The 13th we drove to Edmonton. The 14th we got up early and flew to Michigan! Well actually to Windsor and drove to folks. Margo threw up once on the plane and then all was fine after that. We got to folks about 8 that evening! We had a great time in Michigan. Wynn's wedding was lots of fun and had a good time with friends and family. We got to go some fun places with the children like Huckleberry Railroad and Anderson's and girls. Had lot's of fun evenings and suppers with friends and family. Thanks all!! Heidi even got to spend a few evenings at Bible School. My sister Lindsey came up for a day with her family. Was fun to see my nieces! We flew back home on the 25th and spend night in Edmonton and drove home the 26th. I started mowing lawn because it was out of control but the rain shut me down. Flash was beside himself to see us. So good to be home. The 27th I finished mowing and cleaning out suitcases. The 28th I started cutting out dresses for Sam's wedding. I just wanted to get the sewing out of the way. The 29th I sewed. The 30th Jack and Levi Kelly's nephews ( Vicky's boys) came for dinner. They came up for a couple of weeks to help out at the farm. In the evening we went singing at church with a bunch of people was good singing. Well that's all for now. Till next time.......

June 5, 2019

Hello to all. Time has come to get this on it's way for you all to read. Back to May 1st. Heidi had school. The 2nd was her last day. All the parents where all invited at 3 to listen to a little program. It was very cute! The 4th we had supper at the fire hall for all the members. We did hamburgers and hotdogs. The 5th Kelly had a fire in the morning. Then Nigel and him went to the ER in the evening and come home inhalers for a week. The 6th I cleaned. The 7th was grocery day in town. The 8th I worked outside. The 9th the children and I sorted our one years worth of popcans and milk jug to take to the bottle depot. Our neighbors had there fire I wrote about last month. After that we took then pop cans in.

Well here it is the next day so I really just need to get this off! Back to the 10th of May. I cleaned house and in the afternoon Kelly met us in BL and we went and got flowers and we had our first of i'm sure many hot dog roasts this summer. The 11th the place where we bought our quad several years ago was having a sale on tires for 1 hours and we badly needed 2 new tires so we got up super early and got breakfast in town bought tires and came home. Then put Margo for a nap and went and planted the garden. The 12th was Mother's Day and Kelly's family went on a picnic to a nice park about an hour and a half away. I had made dessert earlier in the week for that. The 13th i mowed lawn. The 15th I cleaned house and realized that Nigel need new short pants and Old Navy was having a super good sale so we ran to town and met Kelly after work. Then to BL to pick up our taxes. The 17th we had Ricky's Isaac's and Marshal for a pizza supper. The 18th we ran to town and got the rest of plants we needed for our new landscaping project we are working The 19th Galen's called in the PM and wondered if we where home so they came and sat around the fire with us and had S'mores. Folks all so stopped by for a bit. The 20th I mowed lawn and worked outside. The 22nd I cleaned and took Margo and Nigel for hair cuts. The 23rd I took Heidi and Nigel to folks for a couple of days and Kelly, Margo and I went to Edmonton. The 24th I had my appointment for carpel tunnel to see if I need surgery now or later. The Dr felt I wasn't quit bad enough for surgery yet he wanted to try a few things first. It does seem to be working for now but if it doesn't in 3 months I go for a injection in my wrists. The 25th we got home. The 26th we had a potluck at church for dinner. It was youth rally in Crooked Creek so we called it in a listened after lunch. The 27th I mowed lawn and tilled where we are doing our new landscaping. When Kelly got home from work we went to the colony and got 22 chickens. We are very glad to have chickens again. This is our third year having them. The 28th I did book work. The 29th I had a physio appointment in BL for my ankle that I sprained really back a while back and it was still hurting pretty bad. I left the children with Chanty. Came home and mowed lawn. We went to folks for supper in the evening. I made dessert. Some people where out that they where in Mexico with years ago. The 30th was our neighbor lady's funeral. She lived down the road away and they where really close friends with Kelly's family for years. So we went to Hythe for that in the afternoon. Kelly took of work a bit early for it. Then we decided to go back to town for bark for our project and come home and got it done! Yay i'm so excited. As many of you know we made a nice walkway to our front porch a few years ago and was left with a little patch of grass that we weren't sure what we wanted in it so decided to leave it for a few years and see. Well mowing it has been a pain and now we have tilled it up and put nice bark down and planted 2 roses and another plant and left a little area for Heidi and Nigel to park their bikes in. We love it now!  The 31st I cleaned and we had Errol's for supper because Emily's folks are out. had lots of fun. I made pizza for supper. Well that's all for this time! Till next time.......

May 9, 2019

Hello to all. Once again, it’s time to sit down and get this sent off. I have had a very busy day and really should go to bed but Kelly isn’t home yet so I will wait for him. My day started off very normal but about 2:00 ish I thought I smelled smoke that wasn’t someone burning trash. It was very windy so I was concerned about a grass fire because It’s quite dry. I looked around outside and couldn’t see anything so I went in inside to get something and wondered if I should go check on the elderly couple that lives across the road. I was just leaving and my pager went off saying there was a fire on our road and I knew right away it was the neighbors. I quick loaded up the kids and grabbed a shovel and went over there and sure enough right behind there house was a good size grass fire. The wind was taking it right for a bush and their house. The man has had some medical problems in the past so I was concerned about him because it was hot out and he had been working for a while. I got him out of the smoke because he was really coughing and went back to trying to do what I could. All in all, everyone was fine. The Fire department got there really quick and it missed the house. It wasn’t Kelly department that came out but we got it out with the department and some friends and family.  Well back to April. Miss Heidi started Kindergarten. She went 3 days a week for 5 weeks. She was very excited to wake in the morning much to soon before she needed too! I think she took a bologna sandwich most every day for lunch and I couldn’t convince her of anything else.  Each child took turns taking a snack everyday and different days where assigned colors so the snack could match that color as well as their clothes. There where 4 students in total in her class. We are now done with that and she can’t wait to go to grade 1 in the fall. So, April 1 was her first day of school. The 2nd we ran to town for groceries and Heidi and Nigel started swim lessons in Beaverlodge. The 3rd was school again and I had a Dr appointment in Beaverlodge. The 4th was school and swim.   The 8th was school and I made Easter buns. The 9th was swim. The 10th was school and Heidi and Nigel had dentist appointments in Grande Prairie. No cavities!!! They bush twice a day because cavities are expensive up here. The 11th was school and Myra sells fabric and was having an open house with a few other ladies who sell things here so I went there before picking Heidi up from school. We also had swim. The nice thing about swim this time was that Kelly could come on his way home from work. Sometimes he picked up Margo and just came home. The 12th was Judy Toews’ funeral in Spirit River. Her and her husband and family are really good friends and maybe relation? of the Melvin Isaac family.   Kelly and I went to GP for the night for our anniversary. Margo came with us as our babysitter got sick. It was fun being with just her. We have been married 8 years! So hard to believe! The 13th we came home after going to the home show for a bit. Trying to get ideas because we want to build house in the future. The 14th we went to folks for supper and I was just getting ready to eat when Nigel came to me with a tummy ache and I could see on his face something wasn’t right. We rushed to the bathroom and I was glad we had. We ate quick and brought him home. He had a small fever but was fine the next day. The 15th was school and I cleaned house. The 16th was swim and we had supper in BL right after. The 17th was school and Nigel, Margo, and I ran and got groceries and had lunch with Kelly. The 18th was school I cleaned and we had swim. The 19th was Good Friday and we always have church in the morning here. We had a small Isaac deal at school for lunch. I made sweet potatoes. I say small it was about 50 people and that’s a very very small portion of Kelly’s Isaac family. The 21st Kelly got a fire call just before church started so off we went leaving the older two with folks. I was gonna come back to church but it was a really short call. We went to folks for dinner. The 22nd was school. The 23rd was swim. The 24th was school. The 25th was school I cleaned and had the last swim. Neither of them past so they and both in the same class again. The 26th we ran to town. I can’t remember what for. Maybe a few groceries for company. The 27th I made my food for company. We had church cleaning and just I went and Kelly came for supper with the kiddos. The 28th we had folks, Mark’s, and Duane’s for dinner. We did hamburgers on the green egg. The 29th was school and my day for bookwork. Well that’s all for this time. Heidi can sound out 3 letter words and can spell them as well. She knows the days of the week and her left and right hand. She seemed to do super well in school so we will see how the next few years go. Nigel had to learn to play without Heidi and got frustrated that Margo didn’t play with him. Margo is talking all the time we can understand almost all of it.  She loves talking to Nana but Papa is her favorite. She was telling me every time she needed the bathroom; I would take her and she would go but now that it’s nice outside she doesn’t care any more because she is outside. That’s ok with me I don’t want to push her. Till next time……..

April 3, 2019

Hello to all time get you all caught up with our lives up here in northern Alberta! Spring is coming the snow is melting and it's warming up! Our beautiful creek that only runs when the snow is melting is going. It goes just feet from our little house. I wish you all could see it. Over the years we have made two little water falls in it so it very pretty to hear. The whole thing is lined with rocks some we put in and some where there already. It didn't get very high this year as it has in other years but Heidi and Nigel know very well they don't go close to it. It can get a little swift and a couple of places the water is up to their waist and chest if it's running high.  Another exciting thing is Heidi has started Kindergarten. She goes 3 days a week for 5 weeks and then come September she goes to grade 1. She is very excited and very cheerfully gets up and dressed and reminds me a lot in the morning that we can't be late! Ok back to March. March 1 Kelly had a Dr appointment in Beaverlodge because he is applying for a full time firefighter job again. I went with him because I needed a medicine changed that I was on. The 2nd Nigel started just crying as we where going to bed and here he had barfed all over in his bed. Like I had never had to clean up so much down the wall and even in Heidi's bed. So got him cleaned up and had to move the bunk bed with Heidi very soundly sleeping in it to clean the wall. Got him settled on the couch and Kelly slept on the other couch with him. He barfed most of the night  and by morning was feeling some better. About lunch time I was sick. Didn't barf but was sure at times. The 3rd Kelly was sick I'm glad it was the weekend! We totally missed out on meetings but we did listen on the phone and it was decided to recess and have the preachers come back in the fall or winter sometime. The 4th Kelly took a sick day to recover. The 5th I left Heidi with mom in law because she was the only one who hadn't got sick yet ( Margo had it about a week before us all) so I could go get groceries. The 7th we had Bible study and Isaac and Heather arrived back from Haiti. The 8th I had to run to town again in the afternoon. We had Nathaniel's 1st birthday party at folks for supper. The 9th I cleaned and Kelly took Heidi and Nigel to the farm show. The 10th we had Carlin's, Isaac's, Becky, and Casey for a hamburger lunch. In the evening we went singing with the youth because there wasn't many youth around. The 11th we took our taxes to the tax man. The 12th was our bi-monthly counsel meeting. The 13th I made cinnamon rolls and bread. Kelly had fire meeting the PM so the children and I ran to Heather's for abit. The 14th I took Heidi to the ER because she wouldn't really walk on her foot and she was crying because it was hurting so bad. She had gotten it caught in the crib railing when she was getting Margo's bottle so I could wash it the night before. They did X-rays and said at first it looked like a really small fracture not bad enough to cast but later the Dr called and said it was nothing but a really bad bone bruise. We listened to Annual Meeting in the evening. The 15th I cleaned and we ran to town for groceries after naps. The 17th we went to Verden's for dinner and then it was our turn to go singing in Grande Prairie. The 19th I was back in town to get Kelly more work jeans. The 21st was church but Kelly worked late so we didn't go. The 22nd I cleaned again. The 24th we went to Errol's for dinner. The 27th Margo had her 18 month shots. She is a tiny thing weighing barely 22 pound and is 32" long. I was expecting her to cry when she got her shot but about 10 seconds after it was done she just looked at me and said "Ouch" and continued watching Heidi and Nigel. This isn't the first time she hasn't cried for shots. The 28th I cleaned again. The 29th Kelly took off as there isn't much work in the shop in town and he has been flat out with his shop at home. He has been working till midnight or 3 in the morning most of the week. We ran to town for just a few things as we where having company Sunday for dinner. We went to folks for supper. The 30th I made my food for dinner Sunday and we all worked outside trying to clean up what we could from winter even though we still have snow on the ground. The 31st we had Frank's and Floyd's for dinner. Had picnic ham with all the fixings! So good again! For supper we went to folks for Dad's birthday. His brother and wife from BC and sister from Heartvalley  where there and Mom's brother and wife from SK where there for a bit as well. Fun evening. Well that is all for this time. I have to get to bed as I have to drive Heidi to school tomorrow. Till next time.......

March 9, 2019

Hello to all. Time to once again to sit down and write this out. We didn't do much in February because it was very cold! The 1st Kelly worked in his shop in the evening. The 2nd we all went to the fire hall and cleaned it up super good. The 4th Kelly worked in his shop in the evening. He normal takes Heidi and Nigel with him so it's just me and Margo here at home. The 5th Kelly took off work because it was to cold in the shop and the guys where having trouble staying warm. We did go town for groceries later on. The 6th we went to folks for supper. The 7th we had church. The 9th we had to ran back to town for something just can't remember what. Maybe something for the shop because Kelly was working in his that day. The 10th we had a farewell for 3 of our couple that moved away. So we had a potluck for supper at church. The 12th was sewing. The 14th church. I took Nigel to the ER because he had a very croupy cough so Kelly took the girls to church with him. Margo got the stomach flu right as he got home so she was barfing a few times in the night. The 16th I cleaned and we had folks for supper. I guess one thing I should say is I have been doing a little school work with Heidi and Nigel in the mornings. I got a schoolbook at Costco so we have been going through it just for fun. The 17th we had Lorne's and Landon's for the evening. The 18th was family day in Canada so that means a day off for Kelly. We got up early and served a pancake breakfast at the fire hall. Had a good turn out and I flipped lots of pancakes! The 19th Kelly had a meeting after work so it was a long day for me. The 21st we had church. the 22nd I cleaned and we went to town for groceries. We always pick Kelly up from work and do groceries then. The 23rd Kelly had to go to Peace River for some things for the fire hall. I was gonna go with him but in the end decided that it would be to much for Margo as she was super fussy so I stayed home and finished cleaning. The 24th my house parents (Dwane and Ruth)from Edmonton live not that far from us came for supper and to church with us in the evening. Ruth's mom is from our congregation so she came as well. The 25th was my monthly bookwork day. The 26th was sewing. The 28th Meetings started again. We didn't go because Kelly had another meeting and didn't know when he would be home. Well that is all for this month! We started March off with the rest of us but Heidi getting stomach bug. No fun! Weather seems to be getting warmer. The snow is dripping off the roof! So ready for spring! Till next time..........

February 5, 2019

Hello to you all again. Time to sit down and get this typed up and sent off! Thanks to all you who sent Christmas letters this year. It sure was fun to get a glimpse of your life and families. The last couple of days have been bitter cold. It's been -40 with wind chills sometimes below that. Very very cold. I had been letting Heidi and Nigel play outside when ever this year regardless of the cold this year but that is way to cold to let them out.  While this kind of weather is normal for here in the winter it still is no fun! So back to January. New Year's Day Kelly had off and we had our family Christmas with Kelly's family. I made a Peppermint Chocolate Torte for dessert. Mom made us a turkey dinner with all the fixings. So good again. This year the children got to go sledding after lunch because it wasn't that cold. I brought Margo home for a nap. For supper we all just kinda pitch in a do a little bit because we are so full from dinner still! So we just had some dip with crackers, meat and cheese platters, and some veggies with Christmas baking for dessert. The 3rd I baked butterhorns and ran to town quick for groceries and was back home for supper. The 4th I cleaned house. The 5th Jason's and folks can for a pizza supper. The 6th we got invited to Lorne Reimer's for dinner. Interesting fact we have 3 Lorne's, 2 Travis', 2 Amy's, and 2 Emily's in our congregation. The 7th I made a couple of casseroles. Around meeting time a bunch of us ladies get together and exchange casseroles so we don't have to cook much. The 8th was sewing. The 9th I had an appointment to see about getting referred to Edmonton to get tested and had carpal tunnel surgery. It will pry be late summer before I will be able to get it done. Then we ran to town to get a few things so I could finish the casseroles. I when by myself with all my kids with no help! The 10th I got all my casseroles done. I made Cheesy Chicken and Rice and I needed to make 7 of them. Church in the evening but Margo was sick so I stayed home with her. The 13th Margo was still sick so I stayed home from church with her. The 14th I cleaned and made banana bread. The 15th I finished cleaning and made butterhorns to go with my casseroles. Then ran to town for groceries. Kelly got a promotion that day. He is now Station Captain for La Glace Fire Hall. Which means he is in charge now. He has been working super hard the last couple of years hoping to get it. It means a small raise in pay and a few more hours he will have to put in. The 16th we had the casseroles exchange at my house. The 17th I painted the pantry in the kitchen. A year or so ago we took the door off to see if we would like it better and now I decided to paint it white.  Didn't go to church as Kelly's promotion was being announced at the fire hall and he kinda needed to be there for that. The 18th I finished the painting. The 20th our meetings started and we had the preachers for supper that night. The 21st I cut out the summer dresses. The 22nd we had sewing. The 23rd I took Nigel and Margo for haircuts. Nigel got a big boy haircut which he thinks makes him look like Uncle Casey( Galen and Glenda's boy). Margo just got a little trim. The 26th we didn't have church. After dinner we had to run to town quick and then went to folks for supper. The 27th our meetings ended as our one minister had to leave for a death in the family. They hope to come back the end of February to finish up.  The 28th I did book work and got everything ready to file taxes and even got the GST filed! I have never done it so early!  Heidi help me clean out the filing cabinet and get it ready for the next year. We went to Lee's in the evening so Kelly could get measurement for a couple of jobs. The 30th we had to run to Beaverlodge after Kelly got home to get the tender truck that was getting fixed and take it back to La Glace. The 31st we had church in the evening.  I guess I forgot to add that I spent most of the week sewing. Didn't have that much to do but I got it done. Kelly had been working in the shop at the farm every evening he can because he has about 3 jobs that need doing. He has been taking Heidi and Nigel with him. Well that's all for that month. Margo is a very busy little girl. She can talk so much all ready and if she isn't being heard she will let us know and add her two cents and then laugh! She loves her brother and sister so much. January 2, 2019

Hello to all and Happy New Year. Hope you are all blessed in the coming year ahead! December 1st was the La Glace Christmas Party at the fire hall. I was going to be a different place but we got some ice and it was to slippery to get in the drive way. I made mini chocolate cupcakes, white chocolate cream puffs, and white chocolate candy cane cheesecake. After you where done we went to Roger and Lisa's because they had Christmas craft sale. The 2nd the Youth had there Christmas program in the evening. We had to be to church early to set up and we decided that us ladies would do fruit trays. They went over really big so think we will do it for the children's program as well. The 3rd I spent to whole day picking up and getting house ready to clean. The 4th I cleaned house. Marshal came for supper. The 5th I packed as we where leaving for Edmonton the next day. The 6th I picked Kelly up at noon in town and we headed for Edmonton. Everyone traveled super well. Now for the big surprise. My folks and really good friends Stuart and Lea all flew to Edmonton to spend a few days with us. We had told Heidi and Nigel that we where going to Edmonton for a few days and instead of staying at a motel we where gonna stay at a house. They had no idea Papa and Nana where gonna be there. We had to stall about 10 minutes to wait for them to get there. We got there and walked up to the door. My folks where standing just inside. Heidi's mouth fell open and she stood there in shock. She so got over it and went running to Nana. Nigel seen Papa and went running to him and then started asking if they had moved to Edmonton. It took Margo just a bit to warm up but soon she was running and climbing stairs and going to sit on Nana's lap. The kids also warmed up to Stuart's really quick. Soon they had two nana's hands to hold. We stayed in the 3 story, 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom, and 2 half bathroom house. We had a great time and made lots of memories. Dad taught us a new game to play with a pool table and had lots of fun after the kids went to bed playing. We did lots of shopping mostly looking and had lots of good food to eat. Stuart's left us Sunday afternoon and us a folks left Monday. The 11th I spent the day unpacking. We had church in the evening. Kelly had some how put his back out and didn't feel up to going so just I went. It was business meeting. Our turn was up for food committee and we didn't get any new offices. The 12th Heidi had an appointment in Beaverlodge with our family Dr. We had been noticing over the last several months the she has been complaining of her tummy hurting at meal time. We also noticed that it seemed to happen more when she was eating a meal with lots of gluten in it. So around the first of November I called to make an appointment for her. She didn't show any other symptom of a gluten allergy but we felt we should get it checked out. I also started her on probiotics knowing that it might help some. It took a few days to work and then she stopping talking about it. So when I told her dr this she thinks that she is pry sensitive to gluten. She said not to take her off of it but to watch what she's eating and cut back on it. So if she eat two buns when I make them she should only have one and to keep her on probiotics. She gave me papers for blood work and an x-ray if she seems to get worse. She said most often people are sensitive to it and very few are actually allergic. The 14th we went to town for groceries. We left all the kids home at Galen's because Kelly's work Christmas party was in the evening. The 15th we had to run back to town because we needed ribs for Kelly to smoke for Christmas dinner. Of course in true fashion we didn't check Costco hours and they where closed. Marshal had came with us. We also wanted to go out to Evergreen Park for a horse and wagon ride to see the Christmas light display. We first had supper at really good wing place then got all bundled up for a wagon ride. It was fun Margo kept saying oh oh oh. The 17th found us back at Costco to get ribs. Kelly wanted to smoke then this week before Christmas. The 18th I cleaned most of the house. In the evening we went to Hythe to Christmas carol. The 20th was the children's school program. Up here they always have a little time for the preschoolers to have a little song or verse before the school children get up. Heidi and Nigel the song Through my Little Window Peeps a Star. We had to be to church early to set table and cut fruit. It was our last time for food committee for us. So glad to be done but it was fun. The 21st we decided to go to Heart Valley to listen to Amy's program. It was really nice! The 22nd my little girl turned 6! She was so excited! She got to open a few presents and spend the day playing with them. I asked her what she wanted for dinner and she said bologna sandwiches! Of all things to pick! So Kelly took all of the kids to get bologna. While they where gone I decorated her cake. She had been wanting a snowman cake. I found a really cute one of just the face. She wanted a pink hat on it as well. Turned out super cute. The 23rd Kelly's folks came for dinner. Nigel had been complaining off and on all day about his tummy hurting but seemed fine so the 24th when I woke up I asked him how he was. All better after I threw up he said. So I went to look and sure enough it needed to wash his bedding. Kelly only work a half day so we had an early supper and then had our family Christmas. It was lots of fun to see the happy looks on there faces! They didn't get much but they where happy! The 25th we where getting ready to go to church and Nigel was almost ready to eat his breakfast when he leans over to the floor and throws up. I stayed home with him and Margo and he did it one more time that morning. Seemed fine after that and begged for dinner so we let him have some. In the evening we went to folks for supper as Jason's got here that afternoon. The 26th we had Lorne's, Folk's, Jason's, and Marshal for Christmas dinner. We had smoked ribs the week before so that's what we had along with potatoes, veggie casserole, fresh butterhorns, and cheesecake for dessert and for about the very first time I let people help with bring food.  The 27th we where awakened in the night with Nigel say she had threw up again. Sure enough got him cleaned up and back to bed. Woke up in the morning happier then ever. The evening we went to folks for supper and took our left over ribs and potatoes. The 29th we decided to run to town and take advantage of a boxing day sale. I have been saving birthday and Christmas money for a long time for a nice lazy boy chair. Well we went and bought one. Kelly is going to bring it home on Monday. The 30th Heidi came to our room in the night saying she had thrown up so after a quick clean up and bedding change we got her back to bed. I said home from church with her and Margo. I had a to make a few things for lunch because we where invited to Kelly's folks for Mexican. Just Kelly and Nigel went I wanted Heidi to get lots of rest so she would get better. The 31st I did book work and went through some some toys and got rid of some broken ones to make room for Christmas gifts. I also started my dessert for our Christmas dinner with Kelly's family on the 1st.  Kelly only worked half a day so he brought my chair home. I love it and am so excited to use it. Well that is all for this time. I hope 2019 brings lots of happiness to you all. Till next time.......
