The 10th we went to Fort St John to pick up a tool box or something like for the garage. The 12th was Ricky's fundraiser. It was a silent and live auction that a lot of the community came for. They raised over $43,000 for him. The week of the 14th I spent getting ready to go see my folks in Edmonton and some pampered chef shows I have coming up. The 19th I did a small show in Beaverlodge. The 21st we left for Edmonton to meet my folks. I was fun to see them. I hadn't seen them in almost a year. We rented an Airbnb to stay in. It is renting a house for about the same price as a motel and we can all be together! The 23rd I had my one month eye check up and they told me my vision was better the normal it was 20/15. They also told me I didn't need to go back for a year. We had lots of fun with folks just took things easy and it was very relaxing. Kelly had his test for EMT school. He unfortunately didn't get in. He did find out that another school in St Albert which is in Edmonton and he still had a little bit of time to get an application in so he did. That school starts in January. We got home the 26th. I haven't changed a dirty diaper in a long time and I am loving time. He still has accidents but that is ok with me. Well not much else to say. Till next time.....

Hello to every one. I'm going to get the blog done on time this month. To start off with I forgot to tell you something that happened right at the end of May. I youth boy from here named Ricky Isaac had a very bad accident. He was at a trampoline place in Edmonton and landed wrong and broke his cervical spine. At the time had no feeling from his chest down. They flew him to Edmonton where he went into surgery the next day. There they found he had crushed some of the spine but the doctor was able to to some reconstruction. The doctor also said his spinal cord had been pinched. Now last we heard he seems to be getting some feeling back. He can feel lots of tingling and can sometimes tell if someone touches his feet or legs. The doctor said his spinal cord had a healthy bruise on it. He needs lots of prayers as his adopted dad is in a wheel chair and he knows what that is like and doesn't want that for his life. So back to June 1. Heidi had swimming class. The 2nd Kelly and Nigel had doctors appointments. The doctor told us that there isn't much testing that we can do now for Nigel so will have to wait till he is older but no more penicillin! Friday the 3rd was the school program. The play day was the 4th. We where in charge of games. We did some new fun games. First we filled two small wading pools with ice and water and put marbles in the bottom and the students had to use there toes to get 4-5 marbles out. Then we had four lines and the front person had to scoop water out of a tub with a cup and dump it over his head into the next cup and so forth till the bucket at the end was full. Then we had a bunch of donuts on a string and people had to eat them with no hands. The the normal tug of war and only did one race. Then we had filled about 300 water balloons. It was a hot day thankfully! The 5th was my unit friend Ang's wedding. I stayed home from church to listen to it. Kelly had a fire training day so he was gone all day too. The 6th was Heidi's last day of swim class. I worked outside and got my whole garden weeded and tilled. Kelly helped some too. The 7th Kelly had to be at the fire hall at 4 because they had to test hose so the kids and I went there for supper. The 8th I cleaned up the house and in the evening we had a food committee meeting at church because we got asked to help in the kitchen for a funeral on Saturday. The 9th we went to town and it rained ALL day. The 10th I cleaned the house and made cupcakes for the funeral. The 11th was the funeral. We had to been at church by 11 as the funeral started at 2. It was for a old lady who was a member but none of the family was. We took the kids to Verden Reimer's for the day. The 12th was church. We decided to leave for Edmonton right after church because we wanted to spend some time with Ricky. The reason we are going is because we are meeting Errol's in Calgary Monday night because we are getting duel citizenship for our kids. Monday we went to the mall for a bit and then to see Ricky. Ate lunch at the hospital with Kevin and Rosi. Then left for Calgary. Got there just before supper and got checked in to our motel. Met up with Errol's and went to the big mall for supper and more shopping. The 14th our appointments where at 1 and 1:30. In the morning we went to Calgary tower as Errol's had never been there. Then went walking trying to find some lunch. Got the the building and waited. At 12:45 they opened and we had to walk through security and only take what was needed with us. We couldn't talk or make eye contact with anyone. Got to a room with 9 windows to talk to people and some chairs to sit in. We couldn't stand and still no talking. First you got called you to pay for what you where apply for and then you waited till someone called you and you gave them all the information you brought. Then you sat and waited some more and finally you talked to the last person and he said if you got it or not. I didn't have quit enough stuff so he told me what to get and email it to them. So glad to have that over with. Didn't do much in that after that. We where gonna go to the zoo but it was to late. Did a bit more shopping the supper and bed. Then motel we stayed at had a water slid in it to we went swimming every evening too. The 15th we went to the zoo. It was lots of fun. Got to see a baby monkey and a giraffe. Errol's left for SK at noon and we headed for Edmonton soon after. On the way we decided to stop at Innsfail at the Discovery Wildlife Zoo. They have animals that have acted in movies and such. We got there just in time for the last bear show. It was really cool!! Back to Edmonton for the night. The next the 16th we went to Fort Edmonton park in the morning and then to say good bye to Ricky and then headed for home. The 17th Heidi had her first speech appointment in GP. The 18th I mowed lawn and caught up on the house work and laundry. The 19th was church. In the evening we had Del Friesen's and Galen's for supper. The 20th we worked outside and had the family for supper in the evening. The 21st was another work outside day. The 22nd Kelly had his last hep B shot in Beaverlodge. We then loaded up the pickup with trash and took it to the dump. Worked outside some. The 23rd was Marshal's 21st birthday so we had a party for him at a park in the evening. The youth came after church and they played softball. We took pop cans to the recycling in the morning and got $152. The 24th Heidi had speech again in GP. Cleaned house when we got home. The 25th in finished cleaning and made 30 jars of salsa. Kelly took care of the kids so I could get it done. Errol and Emily can for hobo pies for supper. The 26th was church. We got invited to the park for a potluck dinner. The 27th Kelly started the sandbox for the kids. Heidi was very excited. The 28th Kelly finished the sandbox. I'm not sure Heidi will every leave it. She LOVES it. The 29th We had Bevan's and Frank's for a rib supper. The 30th I mowed lawn. We went to folks for supper in the evening. Went we got home Kelly and I put the kids to bed and worked in the garden for a while.
Well not sure what to say about the kids. The speech is really helping Heidi. We go for a total of 6 weeks. Nigel is trying more words every day. One day he did something really funny. I had dropped some eggs on the floor. Nigel came running and said" A Mess" then went running off. He came back with the toilet paper over his shoulder and was running to help. What was so funny was the paper never tore. Well that's all I can think of. Till next time.......

June 1
So I know this is well over due. The business of life I guess. So here it goes a short story of our lives from April till now. April 1- 3 I did the home show in Grande Prairie. I did really good. Sold enough product to play for my booth. I am also selling dish clothes and such and they did really good also. The 6th I did a party in GP and had over $500 in sales. The 7th I went to Kelly's aunt's place and set up a table as she had a big fabric sale. It was also Kelly's birthday. The 8th was a cleaning day. The 9th Kelly had a course in GP. The 10th was our 5th anniversary so we went to Beaverlodge for dinner. In the evening it was our turn to go singing with the youth. On our way home Lindsey called and said that I have a niece!!! Kylee Nicole was born on our anniversary!!! I can't wait to meet her!!! On the 11th Heidi had speech assessment in GP. The 12th a very tragic event took place in our community and church. An expelled brother took his life. Search party's had spent a few days looking for him. That is something that is very mentally draining on a person. The rest of the week not much happened. The funeral was on Monday. Over 400 people where there. Someone asked after lunch what if he knew that many people where behind him would he have done it? The 21st we went to folks for supper. On the 22nd Heather made us Haitian for supper. Than is very good!! We went to school in the evening to help Galen's set up for Jared and Megan's wedding. Saturday night we where invited to the Family supper at school. Sunday was the wedding. I had to take potato salad. Lorne's and Errol's came over after church in the evening. The end of the week I started planting my garden. On the 30th Amy and I went to town. There was an antique sale that i wanted to go to.
May 1st we had Galen's over after church in the evening. The 2nd I finished planting my garden. Nigel was not feeling well. The 3rd I took him into the walk in clinic because I knew something was wrong and he had an ear infection and possibly the start of hand foot and mouth. After we where done at the dr the kids and I went and got flowers. Kelly left that day for Peace River to some fire things and was gone for a few days. Some how I manged to get through the next few days. Nigel was very sick. He would sleep unless he was on me and he would eat or drink much and mostly just cried. At night he was up every hour or so. He must have had blisters in his mouth. Kelly got home on the 5th. I did mange to work a bit outside. I put Nigel in the stroller and took him everywhere with me. He would let me out of his sight. On Mother's Day we had Galen's and Jared's for dinner. I stayed home from church with Heidi as she had hand foot and mouth and was running a long fever. In the evening we took snacks to Tony's. The 9th Nigel woke up with a nasty looking rash. I was talking to Heather and she asked if he was allergic to penicillin and I wasn't sure because he been on it for a while and nothing had happened. So I called the Health Link and the nurse said to get him to a hospital with in 2 hours. So off we went. The Dr took one look and said yes mostly likely that's what it was. He checked his ear and the infection was clear so he said to stop the penicillin. Sure enough the next day we could tell his face had been swollen. So now more Dr's appointments to figure this all out. Also this was Heidi's first day of swimming lessons. She has just over 4 weeks of lesson twice a week for 30 minutes. She loves it and every day asks when she can go again. Also in the evening got a call that Kelly's Grandma had died. She was 98. She just fell asleep and never woke up. The 11th Heidi had swim again. The 12th we left for Edmonton. The 13th we went to Edburg in the afternoon and they had a small family sale of grandpa and grandmas things. The 14th we headed to Linden. The funeral was on Sunday. Most of the 1st cousins where there. Got home on the 16th. The 19th Kelly had small out patient surgery at the hospital on his toe. We dropped the kids off at Glenda's for the day. The 20th we where back in town as we had no power because of yes to much snow!!! The 21st we went to folks for supper. The 23th was a holiday in Canada we had lots of company for supper. 23 people plus lots of kids. The 24th Nigel had his 18 month shots. They never seemed to bother him much. He didn't really run a fever. Kelly had to go back to the hospital for dressing change on his foot. The 25th Heidi had swim again. In the evening we went to Kevin and Rosi's to plan the school play day. The 26th we went to town to buy the things we needed for play day. Also bought some tree and shrubs. Time for some cutting of the old and putting in new. The 27th our morning started off at 6:30 with Heidi barfing. And an hour later Nigel started. Heidi was done my 10:30 that morning and Nigel was buy evening. The next day Kelly was sick so I know I had it coming. Nigel barfed once more and then he was done. Sunday we all stayed home from church. We went to folks for dinner. The 30th Heidi had swim again and I wasn't feeling good. We worked most of the day outside. The 31st Nigel barfed early in the morning but i'm thinking its from teeth as he is trying to cut his 2 year molars all ready. Worked outside again and mowed the lawn. I still wasn't feeling good. We went to folks for supper as Isaac and Heather leave us on June 4th. They head to ON for a week or so then back to Haiti. A little on the kids. Nigel weights 25 pounds and is 33.5 inches tall and Heidi 39 inches tall. Nigel talks a lot and we can understand a lot of what he says. Heidi is still very talkative. Her daddy finally finished her slide so she has been having lots of fun with it. Time to sign off. Till next time......
The 17th I cleaned house, mowed my lawn , and made food for supper as we had the family all over because Jason and Carissa left the next day. The 18th Heidi had swim again.

Hello to all. Once again it's time to sit down and get this done. A few exciting things have happened this month. I look back on the last month and wonder how everything got done and think surely next month will be slower. That for some reason doesn't seem to happen. We started off the month of March with one of Kelly's uncles funeral up in Fort Vermillion. I didn't go but Kelly went with Marshal. The rest of that week wasn't to eventful. We where in town one day and to Lorne's one night for supper. We also went back to Fort St John for charcoal and the store was open this time. Galen's came over Sunday night after church on the 6th. The next day I took lunch to Glenda's because she was deep cleaning her house and her sister was coming to help. We had a another town day. It may seem like we go to town a lot but keep in mind I have 3 big milk drinkers in my house and we go through about 4 gallon a week and my two fridges only hold so much. Albert and Anita where over one evening to practice a couple of songs. Kelly got asked to have a couple of songs at Heartvalley's Easter program. The 11th Nigel, Kelly, and I where headed back to Edmonton ( Heidi stayed with folks in law) as Kelly had failed a test and needed to rewrite it. Came home Saturday night. I got to spend with day with my friend Becky while Kelly was writing the test so that was fun. We walked West Ed Mall. Nigel deicide to barf a couple of times so not sure what his deal was. Maybe eye teeth? The 13th we went to Heartvalley for church in the evening. For supper before church we went to Brain Burge's. The next 3 days I spend at the computer trying to finish the book work so we coulf file taxes. The 16th Heidi had an appointment with her Dr to see about speech therapy. The dr said it wasn't a big concern yet but she would see what a therapist thought. The 17th Nigel got his first haircut. He did awesome. He sat really nice on Kelly's lap till the lady was done. In the evening we went to a Fireman's Graduation where Kelly got a 5 year award. The 19th and 20th Kelly had a training weekend in town. The one day I sewed 4 dresses. I finished up books the first part of the next week. I also did a little painted. Just one wall that didn't really have much on it. I painted the top half a dark grey and the bottom half I did chalk board paint. I put 3 white line across the top and outline the chalk board part with with trim. It looks really nice. Also that week my new gas range got put in. I had an electric oven and stove top and they weren't working right. The 25th was Dad's 60th birthday party and we had a surprise of our lives. Isaac and Heather surprised everyone in the family and can for the the party and they are staying a month. Sunday we had Easter dinner at folks place. The 29th Carl's where for the evening to plan programs for the next few months. Isaac's where here for supper with folks on the 30th. The 31st we where back in town. Well that's all on that. Nigel has finally gotten all his eye teeth in so now he can be happy again. Nothing new on Heidi. Till next time.....

Hello to all. I really do enjoy sitting down and doing this but it's hard to find the time with out my kids pestering me. I know it been a while since I have done this but I have been thinking about it for a week or so. So back to January first. We went to folks after we got home for the Christmas on that side of the family. The next evening we went there for supper and did gifts. The 3rd was when the sickness hit our house and it didn't leave till the end of the month. And let me tell that was a loooong month. Nigel got the flu first. Ended up taking him to the ER in the evening because he wouldn't stop barfing. The waiting room was very full but when I told them what was happening they gave him a bed right away. They gave him some medicine and it worked. The next day Heidi got it. The 5th I was suppose to serve sewing lunch. I made my food and Kelly took it to sewing for me. I was sick the 6th and 7th. Kelly got it that Friday. The next day I cleaned to house till it no longer felt like a sick house. We went to Beaverlodge for supper. Sunday our meetings started. I think I was at 4 meetings the whole week and half we had them. We had the ministers for lunch one day in there. The 14th we had to go to Edmonton because Kelly had a test to take. So we all went down for that. My fevers started sometime in Edmonton and I had them for 2 weeks. Finally after the first week I when to the ER and found out I had a really bad sinus infection. The DR told me that the fevers would be gone in about 24 hours. Well that wasn't my luck. I ended up back in the ER a few days later and found out the one of my ducts was blocked so my sinus couldn't drain. So more medicine. Finally two days later I was feeling like my self again. The first part of February I helped put on a baby shower. The 7th found us once again back in the ER but this time for Heidi. She had a real bad bladder infection. She got medicine for that and within a day and half she was feeling better. We drove up to Fort St John in BC one day to get charcoal for the green egg but the store was closed. Guess we will have to try again. Not much else excited happened this month. We had company for supper one evening and one Sunday evening we had company for the evening. Kelly has had a fair bit of work in the machine shop so he has been busy with that. We to have a wedding coming up in April Jared to Megan. They are both from here. Very excited about that. Trying to think if there is anything new with the kids. Heidi is still the same. We had working with her to say her words clearer. Oh I moved her into a toddler bed so we are gonna try that out. She is very happy to have a big girl bed. Nigel is getting in his eye teeth so some mornings the only thing to keep him happy is for me to sit and hold him with his soother and blanket. He is starting to talk some. He has his own words for things. The other day I was washing his blanket. Which he doesn't like. And he came up to me and pulled on my dress and started jabbering. So I asked him what was wrong and he took off running for the washer and pointed to his blanket. The last time I washed it he was watching me and as soon as I got the washer started he looked at me and reached up and turned it off. Well that's all. Kelly is getting home late tonight because he went to his Uncle's funeral with Marshal. So I'm gonna go to bed early but I'm tired. I have spent the last couple of days doing a bunch of recognizing. Till next time............

Hello to all. So I'm writing this from a motel room so I will have to remember what has happened over then last month. I don't have my calendar to look back on. So I don't remember the dates but I did HUGE Christmas craft show the first part of December. It was for 3 days the first two days the hours where from 12-9 and last day it was from 10-6. Nigel went with me on the first day but then after that he went with Kelly. I got about 16 people who want to have shows so that isn't to bad. After that it was time to get ready to go to Michigan for Christmas. Last minute I had someone contact me to do a Christmas party so I did that. The sales where really good for my first party. We left for Michigan on the 15th. We had to leave home at 4 in the morning so that was nice and early. The first couple of things that happened should have told us that we where gonna have a bad day or bad flying this trip. We where very positive about it all and it worked out. Heidi for the first time in her life and she has flown lots got air sick twice on the first flight. It was only 1 1/2 hour flight so we thought once we got some breakfast in her she would be ok. And I gave her one adult gravol. So on to the next flight. The 3 1/2 hour one to Toronto. Heidi slept for the first hour so we thought that gravol had worked but oh no. She got air sick twice on that flight to. We where a little more prepared this time. Got to Toronto and through customs with no issues. Got to our gate for our Detroit flight and let the kids run around. I think our flight was delayed a total of 2 hours but we made it there with no one get sick. Both kids had sleep over 2 hours in their stroller so that was a life saver. We where at folks for a day and a half then we went to ON for a couple of days to see Kelly's two sisters. Had lots of fun there with them. We got to be at Jack and Levi's school program so that was nice. We left there Sunday morning and got to my folks by 3ish I think. They where suppose to be in there new house by that time but something came up and they couldn't move till Monday. We had a very good time at my folks. It was lots of fun to be in the new house. I wasn't sad that we couldn't be in the old one. Both of my sisters where able to come up for a few days also. I hadn't seen Monica for 2 years. Mom and Sam had an awesome birthday party for Heidi while we where all there. The theme they used was Tim Hortins which Heidi loves. We didn't do gifts with my family because we all had to spend money to travel they all got Heidi and Nigel something tho. We flew back home the 31rst. Folks drove down with us the night before we left and we got a motel room. Dad and Kelly returned the rental pickup. Our flight was suppose to leave at 8:30 or so and we ended up leaving an hour late. We only had an hour lay over in Toronto so we pretty much guessed that we missed our nest flight. In texting dad and telling him he checked and said our next flight was delayed and we hoped we could make it. Well after a long afternoon we finally made it on a stand-by flight to Edmonton at 7:30 in the evening. It was Delta's mistake they got us a motel and the kids both had 2 hour naps. Got to Edmonton safely and to a motel for night. Then on the new years day we got home about 4:30. It was such a wonderful feeling to finally be home. Now for an update on the kids. Heidi is still Heidi. Talking lots and loving her Aunty's and her Christmas presents. Nigel managed to get 3 molars this month. He weighs almost 25 pounds and Heidi weighs 30 pounds so he is not far behind. Thanks to all of you who sent Christmas letters. We love to read them! Till next time......
